- Upon our arrival at Izmir airport our guide will meet you with your name sign and assist and transfer to hotel. If you are staying in Izmir, we will pick you up after 2 p.m. and transfer to our hotel for Dinner and Overnight in Izmir.
- Pergamon Ancient City After breakfast we drive to Pergamum, actually called Bergama. It is one of the sites of the Seven Churches of Asia [Rev. 1:11; 2:12]. Here we explore the impressive Acropolis, the steepest theatre in the world, the Asklepion, famous medical Centre of classical times, see the Altar of Zeus which is mentioned as the «Throne of Satan» in the book of Revelation, the marble columns of the Temple of Trajan and the Library which was foremost in the world and was long a rival of the equally famous Library of Alexandria in Egypt. Its wealth of volumes was estimated at over 200,000. It inspired the invention of parchment.
- Tepe Mezari Then we continue our visit to Thyatira, now called Akhisar, another one of the Seven Churches of Asia [Rev. 1:11; 2:18-24; Acts 16:14]. It was a city famous for purple dyes. We visit the remains of a basilica and some architectural fragments from the Roman period. Lydia, the seller of purple in Philippi, was from Thyatira. Drive to Izmir.
- Izmir Before we check in at the hotel in Izmir, we enjoy a panoramic ride of Smyrna, the third largest city in Turkey and one of the sites of the Seven Churches of Asia [Rev. 2:12-17]. Smyrna is a city scarred with a bloody history of trade and warfare. We will also see the Clock Tower. Check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight.
- Sardis (Sardes) Today we depart early in the morning to one of the most picturesque areas of any of the Seven Churches of Asia [Rev. 1:11; 3:1-4], Sardis, presently Sart. This was the capital of the ancient Lydian kingdom of the 6th century BC, portrayed as a dying church. We visit the great Temple of Artemis and the restored gymnasium and reconstructed Synagogue. We also see the last several meters of the royal Persian Road from Susa to Sardis built by Cyrus the Great and the «golden» river Pactolus.
- Philadelphia Siesean Kilisesi Then we continue our journey to Philadelphia, nowadays called Alasehir, another church of the Seven Churches of Asia [Rev. 1:11; 3:7], and the only church not censured. There we see the remains of a Byzantine basilica built of brick, with a bit of high arch and some 11th century frescoes.
- Laodicea Continue to visit to Laodicia. The city established in the C3 BCE by the Seleucid Antiochus II, the city was named after his wife Laodicea. Built on the Lycus Tributary of the Meander River, it was surnamed Laodicea on Lycus, to distinguish it from other similarly named cities. Laodicia is the last of the seven churches. As a crossroad of two important roads, this city had an important commercial and logistical position.
- Hierapolis & Pamukkale We drive to the healing city of Hierapolis, actually Pamukkale, the white «cotton fortress» where hot mineral water bursts from the earth and cascades over steep cliffs forming pools, channels and stalactites. The therapeutic waters were known to the founders of Hierapolis and of Laodicea in 190 BC. In Hierapolis [Col. 4:13] Check in at hotel for dinner and overnight in a Thermal Hotel.
- Ephesus Ancient City Drive to Ephesus visit to the ancient city of Ephesus including the Basilica of St. John. The Apostle Paul preached to the Ephesians and lived here for three years. This church also received an epistle from him. We tour the spectacular ruins where excavations still continue in this once great and important city, which was founded in the 10th century BC. Walk through history along marble streets lined with wonderful public buildings, among them the Baths of Scholastica, the Library of Celsus, the Temple of Hadrian and the Theatre. The Temple of Diana of the Ephesians, another of the seven wonders of the ancient world, was built in this city.
- The House of the Virgin Mary The House of Virgin Mary is located on the Aladag Mountains 5 miles away from Ephesus. At the third Ecumenical Council on 431 AD in Ephesus, it was claimed that Mary came to Ephesus with St. John in 37 A.D. and lived there until her death in 48 A.D. After the discovery of the house, the Archbishop of Izmir declared there as a place of pilgrimage in 1892. On July 26, 1967, Pope Paul VI visited this place and prayed there.
- Basilica of St. John Drive to St. John’s Basilica, it is believed that the evangelist St. John had spent his last years in the region around Ephesus and buried in the southern slope of Ayosolug Hill.
- The Temple of Artemis We will stop at Artemission Temple where used to be one of the seven wonders of the ancient world as our last stop before drive back to your hotel in Kusadasi
- Kusadasi Sightseing tour of this beautiful resort town called Kusadasi. Pass through Marina, Port of Kusadasi, Ceravanserail, Grand Bazaar. . Dinner and overnight.
- After breakfast and transfer to Izmir airport . the end of our services.

We had a great experience with Curio Travel on our 7 Churches of Revelation tour. Everything was well organized from beginning to end, and we really enjoyed the trip. A special thank you to our guide, Cengiz, and our driver, Mehmet. Cengiz was very knowledgeable and Mehmet was also wonderful friendly. We had a wonderful time in Turkey and would definitely recommend them to anyone interested in visiting
Olgu was the best tour guide I have ever been blessed with. I'm a seasoned solo traveler. I've visited many countries, and hundreds of traditions. I rarely write reviews. I've been in Türkiye for newly 4 weeks. After the first few days of Istanbul I flew to Izmir to meet my guide for my private tour of the 7 Churches of the Revelations. I was slightly nervous about the agency. There was no deposit, no reference number to fall back on, no security. To just pay when you get there. I think I might have sent a few dozen emails before I arrived. Everything from what are the hotels to times to names to drivers. Their office was prompt and precise on every email. When Olgu picked me up we had a laugh. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable and kind to what I wanted to do. At one point I had no interest of the itinerary, and so we walked and discovered. Your choice of journey is up to you, how you wish to see your country, like and history. While I did take the tour for biblical reasons, I also wanted to head of the Turkish philosophy and history. Olgu can give you either. Strict to the Bible or mix it up. He is extremely knowledgeable, on both accords. I cannot give a high enough rating for both him and his agency.
My sister and I found the 7 churches tour with Selim (and Nuri the driver) amazing (even in the torrential rain)! Selim is incredibly knowledgeable about the churches and the local history as well. If you are a history buff (both Christian or not) this is a great tour to take. Ask for for Selim (and insist on Nuri as your driver!).
My experience with my tour guide Olgu was very good. He is a guide that is open for questions, and explain clearly. He knows his stuff. He is carring person, and was very attentive to us . I have learn at lot from him about the history of the 7 churches. The Driver was a very casing man. He drives very well and safe, and was kind to us. I recommend this tour, the driver and our guide Olgu to everyone.
Our guide Olgo was excellent in everything. He connected with us right away .His knowledge of history, the Bible, and Biblical history was a huge plus with us The fact that he is a native was another fat plus in our experience The seven churches tour is a dream that came true for my husband Olgu's part in making this dream become a huge success is undeniable Salyh patience, skill, and servant spirit completed our excellent experience. The seven churches' experience idefinitely reinforce the comprehension of Jesus's message to the churches and how real personal an up close God is to His church.

After much research I decided on Curio Travel as the provider of our fellowship trip. It was a customized private 10-day tour with our six other friends. Fevzi gave us the flexibility we wanted in visiting the places on our bucket list. Cengiz Ildir was our assigned guide who was knowledgeable, caring and kind with a good command of the English language. His daily recommended lunch restaurants were outstanding - not tourist traps that jack up prices for mediocre meals. The hotel accommodations were topnotch, great for unwinding at the end of each day. Overall, we were very pleased with Curio Travel. We would highly recommend it.
