Your photo adventure begins at a quaint kimono shop in Asakusa. After wearing this beautiful clothing and having your hair done, it's time to go out and begin your journey!
-Welcome to Sensoji and its quaint gardens
Your local guide will take you to Sensoji, where you will be able to learn the history of Buddhism and Shintoism in Japan. Here, take some more photos within the temple as well as the gardens and the famous Nakamise Street surrounding the temple.
-Make Asakusa your stage for a beautiful photoshoot.
Your guide will take you to other districts within Asakusa such as the Azuma bridge. On the bridge you will have breathtaking views of the bizarre Sapporo monument, as well as Tokyo SkyTree.

Start Tokyo Kimono Photography Tour fra Asakusa Når du er klædt af en professionel, begynder dit fotoeventyr ved den ikoniske Kaminarimon Gate i Senso-ji Temple og fanger fantastiske minder lige fra starten! Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate) blev først bygget i 942 af Taira no Kimimasa, og blev senere genopbygget på sin nuværende placering. Det er gentagne gange blevet ødelagt ved brand og genopbygget, og den nuværende Kaminarimon blev genopbygget i 1960 med en donation fra Konosuke Matsushita. Det officielle navn er "Fūraijinmon". Senso-ji Temple

Absolutely phenomenal had a blast and learned a lot from my guide. Who went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable with every process.
I booked this photoshoot for me and my husband as a way to get amazing pictures on our trip without the stress of having to take them myself. Our guide was Gota-san. We arrived early at the meeting place and he was already there and he was easy to find as he had a sign. Gota-san was so kind and respectful. He showed us what we'd be doing for the tour so we knew what to expect. The kimono rental was fun. I don't know if I could have found the rental place without Gota-san. I speak a little Japanese, but my husband doesn't speak any. Not a problem! The kimono staff were so nice and had plenty of English signs. Our guide spoke English well. The package includes a standard kimono, but you can upgrade your look. I got a slight kimono upgrade and just paid for any add-ons before I left he rental shop. (It comes with a simple hair-do for women, special shoes, and a bag). At the temple, Gota-san pointed out interesting facts about Senso-ji and knew just where to take amazing pictures. His directions were clear and he was so encouraging that we were posing well (we've never done anything like this before). There were lots of other people there in kimono and they were taking pictures too, so we didn't feel self-conscious. Our guide said we'd have the pictures in 36 hours, but I got them before that! They came out amazing! They'll be great Christmas cards and I definitely want one framed in our house to remember this special trip.
I had one of the most wonderful experiences of my first trip to Tokyo here. Although I unfortunately arrived a little late, Mai welcomed me very warmly and helped me choose my yukata. The yukata rental is provided by a separate rental service, but the staff there were also very friendly and helpful with both the selection and getting dressed. The photoshoot takes you through the shopping streets of Asakusa and around Sensoji, one of the most beautiful and traditional areas of Tokyo. Mai gave me lots of interesting information about the different places and things we encountered and was always happy to answer my questions. I was a little nervous before the photoshoot, as I don’t usually feel particularly comfortable in front of a camera. Mai did an excellent job of showing me how and where to position myself, and took some really beautiful photos throughout Asakusa and Sensoji. She made the whole experience feel very natural and comfortable. What I especially appreciated, though, were the relaxed conversations we had throughout the afternoon. Mai not only shared lots of interesting things about Asakusa and Japanese culture, but also gave me some personal recommendations for dishes and restaurants away from the usual tourist crowds. She even offered to answer questions and share recommendations via WhatsApp afterwards, which I really appreciated. That personal touch made the experience feel like much more than just a photoshoot. It was a genuinely enjoyable afternoon with a very kind and knowledgeable person. I can absolutely recommend this experience to anyone who would like to wear traditional Japanese clothing, have some beautiful photos taken, and learn more about Asakusa along the way. Booked an experience through magical trips and the ladies were polite and a nice range of kimonos although a lot of things were at an additional cost so bear this in mind when booking but well worth it in my opinion! Geto-san was a fabulous photographer and really nice guide. Overall great experience. Thank you!
I had an amazing experience using this company and having Gota as our photographer. What makes this experience so unique is that you get to dress up in a beautiful kimono of your choosing as well as take beautiful photos while getting a tour of some of the most popular attractions in Tokyo. Gota is a very skilled photographer who was very patient, kind, and has an awesome eye and attention to detail in order to get your best shots! I was thoroughly impressed with the entire process. This was one of my most memorable experiences so far in Tokyo and Gota largely contributed to making it that way. Additionally, our photos were sent to us very timely. The staff were also very helpful and patient and took the time to help us choose the kimono that most complimented us. Don't hesitate to book this activity and request Gota if you can. You will not be disappointed!!
GOTA is THE GOAT!!! I HAD THE BEST TIME GETTING EDUCATED DURING THE TOUR AND FEELING LIKE A QUEEN IN A KIMONO!! He had several ideas for photos, amazing direction, patience when we went to the KIMONO shop. I legit referred someone to him while on the photo shoot lol. That's how great he was. Will visit when I'm back in another time. I'm here to support this for sure!!!
This is one of the few experiences that included y children, 5 and 14 for me. My girls loved their kimonos, there was a stroller rental right across which was so amazing to keep my 5 year old engaged. Gota was our photographer. He was relaxed and fun. Introduced us to melon bread which was such a fun addition to our experience. I recommend an early morning or late evening to have less crowd if that works for your schedule.
Gota-san took excellent photos and made the overall experience very enjoyable. Highly recommend this if you are looking for a memorable experience at Senso-ji and nearby areas. Thank you so much!
