Our custom private tours are designed to take couples and groups of friends deep into the heart of Willamette Valley to explore the cult wines, highest-rated wines, and legendary vineyards of Willamette Valley!
We love building unique tours according to your preferences and ensuring you leave Oregon wine country with lasting memories.
Our tours will take you to 3 or 4 wineries (depending on your desire for a slower pace or more experiences) and will include elevated tours if you choose.
Our wine tour company, Wine History Tours, is centered in the heart of the valley, and our primary drivers are all industry insiders with years of experience and connections.
This private tour isn't simply about providing a driver, but ushering you into the best experience of Willamette Valley wines and wineries possible.
McMinnville, Salem, Newberg, Dundee, and other pickup locations are all serviceable.

My family and I had a wonderful time on the Willamette Wine Tour! Tamara was our host and she was so lovely and accommodating and provided us with plenty of regional and wine-related details. The three wineries we visited were all exceptional; both in terms of service and the quality of the wines. We felt truly spoiled by each experience. Tamara ensured we were entertained, fed, and happy all day long, and every tasting we had at each winery felt intimate and genuine. We were never rushed and we felt very welcome while we enjoyed amazing views and wines. We could not have been happier with our day and we are all very grateful for the experience. Highly recommend this tour!
Sara was our driver and was excellent on every level. She was warm, engaging, she really asked questions to understand what we were looking for in an experience. The wineries we visited were perfect for our vibe. She kept us on time w out rushing us. She was very knowledgeable about the area as well. Would highly recommend Sara. We booked very last minute, but Ken contacted us almost immediately and pulled together a great tour for the two of us! It was our first time to the Valley and we didn't know exactly where we wanted to go. The three wineries we visited were all lovely, each having their own distinct features. Ken definitely loves not just the history of the area, but history in general. He was easy to chat with and able to answer any questions we had. And you could tell there is a great working relationship between his company and the wineries. It really did make us feel like we were just visiting with friends.
Our private wine tasting near McMinnville exceeded expectations. We spent the day visiting three vineyards with stunning views and tasting some truly delicious wines. The setting was beautiful, the pours were excellent, and the private format made it easy to ask questions and enjoy the scenery without feeling hurried. If you’re looking for a memorable wine country experience in the McMinnville area, this is an easy recommendation.
We had a fantastic day in the Willamette Valley courtesy of our wonderful guide Sara who had extensive experience of the area having worked as a guide and winery host for many years there. There are hundreds of vineyards in the area but it felt like we were being given the best of them thanks to Sara's intimate insiders knowledge - the views, the wine , the food - what can we say - it was off the scale, and we will definitely be coming back for more. My friend and I wanted a guided wine tour in the McMinnville surrounding area, and this was just the tour. We were picked up at our AirBnb in McMinnville, so no worries about driving when we returned. Our guide, Sara, was very knowledgeable of the wineries we visited, and knew the winemakers and tasting room staff well. It was nice that the tasting fees were included and reservations were made ahead of time for us. We felt warmly welcomed every where we went. Sara recommended a fantastic lunch stop in the middle for us, which allowed for lunch and some shopping. I recommend this tour if you're looking for a personalized, private experience at beautiful boutique wineries.
