Hi! Ich bin Billy.
Ich bin London Black Cab Driver und Reiseleiter. Wie andere Cabby Guides habe ich den WCHCD Cabbie Guides Kurs gemacht, aber ich habe mehr gemacht...
Ich habe immer neue Touren gebaut, recherchiert und immer mehr über britische Geschichte gelernt.
Ich habe zwischen 2020-2024 ein Geschichtsstudium absolviert und im September 2024 die 1. Klasse abgeschlossen.
Ich liebe Geschichte so sehr, dass ich angefangen habe Podcasts über britische Geschichte, London und mehr zu senden.
Ich liebe es, meinen Gästen zu zeigen, was London so besonders macht, die Stadt ist 2000 Jahre alt, und ich glaube, jeder Besucher sollte wirklich erleben, warum es so besonders ist!

On most city tours you expect to see the major sights. To my delightful surprise, I was taken on a marvelous adventure of trivially historic places, so I was really in my element. A tea tasting at Twinings original tea shop was noteworthy. The history of London as narrated by Billy, my guide and driver, was so educational. A request to see the Gherkin was weaved seamlessly into the tour with the added benefit of seeing and learning about some other architecturally significant buildings I hadn’t even thought about. It was a wonderful tour. Highly recommended and worth every penny.
We booked the private five hour tour with Billy. He picked us up at our hotel in London. I advise doing this tour when you first get to London so that you can go back to areas that interest you. The tour is very comprehensive. You will see so much. Billy is engaging, knowledgeable, passionate and had so many great stories to tell. We learned so much from him. His black cab was immaculate and very comfortable. Billy thank you for your great tour! We adored being with you!
This was by far the best tour of London. Billy was prompt, courteous, and genuinely fun to hang out with. We saw the major sites of London and some lesser known sites that were extremely interesting. He customized our tour based on our interests, knew all the best spots for pictures, and we never felt rushed. When we visit London again we will definitely be giving him a call.
A wonderful and comfortable private tour with Billy called the Secrets of London. We were taken to some unique sites that a history buff would certainly appreciate - the iconic 300-year old Twinings flagship store, St. Bart's 900 years of monarch tales and ghost stories; Britain's prestigious spirits merchant, Berry Bros. & Rudd; and many others. With Steve, we had a Rock & Roll tour where we visited the first ever Hard Rock Cafe that had some rock stars' memorabilia, Abbey Road, and numerous other places where the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Clapton had their early beginnings. Both gentlemen were very knowledgeable and made our tours interesting and pleasant.
There are not enough positive accolades to adequately describe Billy’s tour. We are completely overwhelmed with joy and satisfaction with our day with Billy. He went above and beyond with communication the days ahead of our tour, and adapted along the way to our key interests and pace. We loved the historical perspectives shared and the tour was so much more than the sites themselves. The tour truly told the historical context to the city of London, its boroughs and the Monarchy. Add to that the local stops for unique snacks, restaurant tips, and ideas for where to spend more time on future trips. For certain we will be returning and look forward to seeing Billy again for another tour. We are also so very thankful for Billy’s photography along the way. Between our own photos and the photos Billy sent us, we have over 250 photos memorializing our day. Truly a most valuable experience from start to finish.
From the moment we climbed into Billy’s pristine Black Cab, it was clear this tour would exceed expectations. The vehicle was completely spotless, impeccably maintained, and air‑conditioned throughout—even on a hot summer morning—while the cab’s panoramic sunroof provided amazing photo ops. Billy’s depth of knowledge about British history was simply extraordinary. He did not just rattle off facts—he wove eras together with engaging storytelling, contextualising Tudor court intrigue, World War II monuments, and the cultural assimilation of London. What really set him apart was how personal the experience felt. Billy took the time to ask about our interests—are you drawn to royal history, architecture, or Victorian London?—then tailored the route accordingly. He flexibly paused or skipped segments that we were going to experience other planned excursions. On top of all that, he snapped and edited superb photos of us in front of landmarks like The Globe Theatre and the Tower of London. He even offered recommendations for pubs and museums beyond the tour. Booking Billy means a private, immersive, and expertly guided journey through London’s history, perfectly calibrated to your pace and interests.
My family which included 2 teens, 2 adults and my 84 year old mother did an extended London black cab tour with Billy in July. I have done many private tours in many cities and this was easily one of the best. Billy was so knowledgable, incredibly friendly and able to engage us all despite our varying ages. He took us to all the mainstream sites and a few off the beaten path ones, all with great historical significance. I was impressed with how kind and accomodating he was with my mother, he was able to get us up close to all the sites and he knew and had access to places to stop the car very close to the sites so she didn't have to walk very far at all. We were very fortunate to have him as our guide for the day, and I highly recommend this tour. I hope to have him as a guide again in the future.
I heard and read amazing things about Billy and his personalized tour of London—he exceeded all expectations! Our group included my husband and I, our 20 yr old son and his two friends. Billy catered to a variety of interests in everything from Roman and WWI history.. to the Great Fire of London.. to Rock history and the Monarchy. We have Pennsylvania roots but now live in Boston— so Billy even took us to the oldest church in the City of London where William Penn was baptized and John Quincy Adams was married. Walking down into the crypt (675AD) at All Hallow’s by the Tower was jaw-dropping. Billy himself is funny, engaging, and effortless as he drives you around and shares his knowledge of London and its history. Nothing feels rehearsed.. he just knows his stuff! And as a veteran journalist myself.. I was so impressed how he quickly engaged with and got to know us and what would create the most tailored experience for our group. This experience is worth every pence! Schedule it early in your visit.. because Billy not only gives you the lay of land, he can offer recommendations for further exploration of London’s most famous landmarks and lesser known gems. He also knows the best dining spots and pubs.. he’s like a 24/7 concierge service for your entire stay. Finally— let Billy take pictures of your day— he’s fantastic with a camera!
