Was Sie erleben
Eine historische und inspirierende Wanderung, Teil des Europawanderwegs E4! Sie bahnt sich ihren Weg die Hänge des Berges Parnassos hinunter und führt zum Dorf Delphi. Es ist der alte Fußweg, den die Anbeter Gottes Pans von den antiken Tempeln von Delphi zur Koryzischen Grotte nahmen, um heilige Riten zu feiern. Unsere Wanderung beginnt auf dem Livadi Plateau auf 1200 m Höhe. Dem alten Pfad durch üppige Wälder folgend, steigen wir zum Delphi-Heiligtum ab! Ein magischer Ort mit Blick auf das Olivenbaumtal und den Korinthischen Golf mit den imposanten Bergen der Peloponnes als Kulisse. Dies ist eine kleine Gruppenwanderung mit maximal 8 Teilnehmern. Dies ist eine Wanderung und kein Besuch oder Führung zur archäologischen Stätte ist inbegriffen.

We recently completed a self-guided 4-day hike from Eptalofos to Itea, staying in Arachova and Delphi, and it was the absolute highlight of our trip to Greece! From our first enquiries through to the end of the hike, Eleni, Giorgos and Hilda were friendly, helpful and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience. The communication was excellent and we always felt well looked after and safe while still enjoying the independence of a self-guided adventure. They shared local knowledge and recommendations for restaurants and places to visit, which was a really nice touch. The hiking itself was fantastic, taking us through beautiful mountain landscapes, cute villages and some remarkable historical areas. All of the accommodation was very comfortable. The logistics and transfers all worked seamlessly. A few words of advice for future travellers: - In the smaller towns in Greece, many restaurants don’t open until later in the evening, as locals tend to eat dinner quite late. It’s worth keeping this in mind when planning your days, particularly if you prefer an early night before the next day’s hike - Putting walking poles into our day packs at the last minute was the best decision we made, they really helped with the descent into Delphi, as well as during an encounter we had with some shepherd dogs We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would 100% recommend Trekking Parnassos to anyone looking for a well-organised and memorable walking holiday in Greece.
I had difficulty in finding a local tour of Delphi because we drove there ourselves. My daughter found this one. It turned out to be a wonderful experience. The mountain was very pretty! The tour incorporated the natural beauty, ancient history and local culture all together. One of the best tours we ever had. Highly recommended!
I had a great morning walking with Hilda, climbing down the south side of Mt Parnassos to the sanctuary at Delphi. It was early November but the weather was perfect, not cold in the forest and not too hot in the open country where there isn’t a lot of shade. Hilda provided some local snacks for our short break in the shade of a pine tree. She kept saying she's a mountain guide rather than an archaeology guide but she provided plenty of information on the myths and history of the place. Highly recommended.
Beautiful tour and very nice guide (Helene) who explained to the entire family very interesting things about Ancient Greece as well as modern one. The Picnic was excellent.
This was an amazing, perfectly organized self-guided tour. Eleni, our contact, took care of everything and was co Stanton in touch. My wife and I were hiking on our own, but we alsways felt confident that Eleni and her team had our back. Even though it was barely in season, all the accommodations were welcoming and comfortable. Really, it could not have been better. We’re planning a 2-month trip to Greece on 2024, doing several Trekking Hellas self-guided tours back-to-back. Tip: Beleice them when they say to download and use their GPS tracks! Greek trails are not as well marked as those in, say, Switzerland. Eleni and Georgos provide perfect GPS files for every step of the way. Get an app, bring a spare battery for you phone, and use their data!
We went for a 2 hour hike with a private group. The route and pace were excellent. The atmosphere created was open and we had great information on flora and fauna. The picknick with homemade sheepfeta, cheesecake, olives and local spirit was a positieve surprise. Thanks for the great trekking.

Our guide Hilda was awesome! We started the hike in the town of Delphi & slowly made our way down to the massive olive groves (more like a plantation really). The views were spectacular & perfect mild autumn morning weather. Along the hike Hilda pointed out the floras like wild thyme, wild asparagus, wild onions, & various other bushes & berries that the locals use for food & medicine. When we got to the olive groves, she told us about the cultivation of the olives while we ate snacks she brought for us of Greek cheeses, olives, & bread. She also told us about other aspects of the land & some local history. A perfect mix of active, culture, & natural history. The 6km hike took us maybe 3-4 hrs but we were slow & stopped some. All downhill though. Hiking poles definitely a must to save your knees, but Hilda brought us poles to use. And very rocky path so wear your ankle braces if you have ankle issues like me. We are a family of 4 with 2 not very active teens. Make sure you eat a good big breakfast before you start.
