Psiri
In Psiri, Athen, machen wir eine Pause auf dem Platz, um unsere ersten Häppchen zu genießen! Wir probieren ein berühmtes Koulouri aus der authentischen Koulouri-Fabrik von Psiri. Anschließend machen wir auch eine Pause mit Kaffee und Bougatsa im Bougatsadiko.

Entlang der Evripidou-Straße planen wir, die berühmten Gewürzmärkte Athens für eine köstliche Teeverkostung zu erkunden. Außerdem machen wir einen Halt bei den auf Wurstwaren spezialisierten Geschäften.

Monastiraki
Als nächstes machen wir einen Spaziergang nach Monastiraki Athen, wo wir uns zu einem Mittagessen im Familienstil niederlassen. Zu den Optionen gehören Gyros, Souvlaki oder Kebab, begleitet von einem griechischen Salat. Anschließend gehen wir zum Nachtisch nebenan spazieren und probieren die Loukoumades, die die Einheimischen bevorzugen.

What an awesome tour! GK took us through such a foodie experience. Being that GK is from the Athens area, he was so knowledgeable about Athens, Greek food and Greece in general. We enjoyed the different stops, and we felt completely satisfied when we were done. Our stomachs were full from the bites along the way, our minds were enlightened about the cuisine, and our hearts were full from the culture. It was definitely one of our favorite parts of our visit.

The food walking tour of Athens with GK was awesome! We learned so much about Greek culture as we explored the city. Our first stop was sampling the delicious pastries with Greek coffee in the morning. This was followed by a stop at a local meet and cheese shop where we were treated to delicious spread. Next was a visit to a spice store, and olive oil tasting. We ended with a gyro lunch and Greek donuts for dessert. Great 3-hour tour. Highly recommend!

GK took a group of us to a fabulous rooftop restaurant with a stunning view of the acropolis. His selections of food were fantastic and the food kept coming. On top of the great food and the view, GK was just a joy to be around. He’s friendly and genuine.
