Güvercinada ist eine Insel im Bezirk Kusadasi, die durch einen künstlichen Damm mit dem Festland verbunden ist. Auf der Insel, die ein Symbol für Kusadasi ist, befindet sich eine von den Genuesen erbaute Burg. Im Jahr 2020 hat die UNESCO die Burg im Rahmen der Akte „Burgen und ummauerte Siedlungen an der genuesischen Handelsroute vom Mittelmeer zum Schwarzen Meer“ in die vorläufige Liste des Weltkulturerbes aufgenommen.

Okuz Mehmet Pasa KervansarayI
Es liegt in der Nähe des Piers von Kuşadası. Es wurde 1618 von Großwesir Okuz Mehmet Pascha erbaut. Die Karawanserei, die wie eine kleine innere Burg aussieht, hat eine dreieckige Spitze und eine spitze Kuppel an der Spitze. Heute wird es als Hotel und Touristeneinrichtung genutzt.

Our walking tour in Kusadasi was interesting, informative and accommodating to our interests. We took a break along the way to enjoy some Turkish coffee and a bagel. It was great to learn more about the port town after having just been to Ephesus on a previous cruise. There was some initial confusion about the meeting point as the location pinpointed on the app was incorrect but that was sorted within a few minutes and all was good.
The guide, Emine tailored the tour to exactly what we wanted. We saw the town at a leisurely pace from Pigeon Island over to the Marina. I would highly recommend.
We visited this area a few years ago while on a cruise spending most of our day in Ephesus and didn’t get to see the town of Kusadasi. On this trip, we contacted Emine for a walking tour of this beautiful town…and now that I have seen it, I mean that with all my heart thanks to Emine. She met us at the port and guided us to Pigeons Island, through Old Town, then along the marina. What a wonderful day! Cruise ships have such a set schedule that it’s difficult to see this town. But if you have the chance, you won’t regret giving Emine a chance to show you this wonderful town.
We had a wonderful morning in Kusadasi with Emine. We wanted to explore the town and she tailored the tour to everything we wanted A leisurely walk which included Pigeon Island and the museum, Old Town, and the Marina with stops for shopping along the way if we wanted and stops for coffee and tea. Myself and my husband had a fabulous walking tour with our guide Golhan around Kusadasi who was amazing from start to finish! He contacted me via WhatsApp on the morning of our tour to introduce himself and reassure us he would be at the port with a sign with my name which he was. He asked us what we knew about Kusadasi and tailored our visit according having briefly visited several years before. We headed to The castle where we learnt about the history etc. It was great to hear how his family came to settle in Kusadasi and day to day life. We walked through the tourist area and also got the opportunity to explore a more authentic view, we enjoyed seeing the local bakers where Golhan kindly bought us some Simit and a pastry before enjoying it in a local cafe with some Turkish tea, thanks again. This tour is one of the best we have done and we have done many in various locations we have visited. If you want a personalised itenary with a knowledgeable and professional guide look no further! He was able to answer all of our questions..we arrived on a cruise ship and passed a ships guide with approx 35 guest..this tour offered exceptional value for money. Thanks Caroline and Antony

It was a nice day to explore Kusadasi and have a local guide to help us with translations at stores and restaurants. The walking wasn't strenuous and a way to learn about the area with someone who was easy to communicate with
Our guide, Ercument Ozden, was incredibly flexible, knowledgeable, professional, and patient throughout the tour. Fortunately, there was only 2 of us on the tour so he was able to accommodate and add Ephesus ruins also. We highly recommend him!
