   Harran Ruins

   Our journey begins at the ruins of what is believed to be the world’s first Islamic university. Standing atop the city’s highest point, surrounded by 4 kilometers of ancient walls, our guide will share the rich history and stories of this remarkable site.

   Harran Culture House

   We’ll visit one of Harran’s iconic beehive houses—symbols of the city’s ancient heritage. Our guide will share insights into their unique architecture and historical significance. Guests are welcome to enjoy a refreshing cold or warm drink during the visit.

   Hz Yakup Peygamber Kuyusu

   We’ll visit the well named after Prophet Jacob, where—according to tradition—he once gave water to his flock while serving as a shepherd. This sacred site offers a glimpse into the spiritual and pastoral life of ancient Harran.

   Old Halfeti

   We’ll explore this ancient city nestled along the sacred banks of the Euphrates River, once home to Assyrian kings and now partially submerged under the waters of the Birecik Dam, which began filling in 1999. During our scenic boat tour, you’ll witness the majestic Rum Castle, the historic village of Savaşan, and the caves where early copies of the Bible were believed to have been reproduced.

   Birecik Kelaynak Uretme Istasyonu

   Alongside the Euphrates River, we’ll have the chance to see the rare and majestic Northern Bald Ibis birds—an iconic species native to this region and a symbol of its natural heritage.
