Bus picked us up from our Hotel as planned, they were on time, there were people complaining about the time spent on the bus already but as the trip started in Oludeniz it was only to be expected, Jesus our tour guide was very informative about Turkeye giving us lots if info as we made our way to the point where we picked up the boat. The whole experience was on a time schedule so at times it seemed a little rushed but it didn't mar the experience, the hydro pools were lovely we didn't partake in the mud baths, but other people seemed to enjoy them, lunch was nice, a choice of chicken fish, pasta or omelette with turkish salad and rice, the self service home made soup was delicious with bread, would recommend 😋, along the river Jesus was very informative again pointing out places of interest including the Lycian tombs, awesome, the last place we visited on the trip was Itzuzu beach to see the turtles, on route the guide picked up fresh crabs for us to feed the turtles, most of the crabs were eaten by the fish but we saw two turtles they were fantastic, not quick enough to photo though unfortunately, an hour and a half at the beach, my only gripe was in the price of the trip was entrance to the beach was included but we had to pay another 100tl, to the captain on the boat to supposedly be able to go to the toilet, the sunbeds and parasols you had to pay for so we never bothered only staying such a short period of time, then onward back down the river towards home, overall the day was a fantastic experience, the river was awesome and the guide was great.
This trip was not worth the money. Due to winds, the boat was not able to take us to the thermal and mud baths. Instead, it took us to a closer one which was subpar, at best. The lunch was mediocre and we were taken to turtle beach and left, with nothing to do because the winds were so strong, for 1 1/2 hours and then froze on the way home. If the weather was good this trip would have been a 6/10 but because of the changes and the wind it was a 2/10.
Was a lovely experience from start to finish. Our tour guide was really accommodating and couldn't do enough to help. Everyone was really kind and helpful. Seeing the turtles was amazing and the lunch was lovely. Thank you for a wonderful day.
Great day cruising up the river, splashing in mud, soaking in thermal baths and swimming at the beach. Spectacular views of ancient tombs and surrounds.
Such a brilliant and very full day! We travelled the Dalyan river, took a mud bath and a soak in the hot springs, meandered through spectacular landscapes to see the ancient cliff tombs. We sailed to Turtle Beach where a huge mama loggerhead turtle obligingly swam around our boat. Finally we were able to swim on the seaward side of the sand spit in warm shallow water. Our guide, Mehmet, is a natural storyteller and comic as well as being hugely knowledgeable. We learned and laughed a LOT. The whole experience was both fascinating and fun. The five stars are for the boat trip and for Mehmet. Sadly the inclusive lunch was two star at best. You would be better off eating the delicious blue crab dinner provided for the turtles.
Mud bath and sulpher pool brilliant. Turtle beach well worth the visit. Make sure you get blue crab to throw into the mooring area to entice turtles to appear.
Great day out! So relaxing and interesting. Seeing the turtles was just fantastic. Guide was really knowledgeable and had a wicked sense of humour.
A great day with a blend of fun and relaxation. our tour guide was very informative, friendly and she had a lot of knowledge about the area and all aspects of the day. The mud bath was a lot of fun but also fascinating because of its Roman history, the river journey was relaxing and in a beautiful landscape. Turtle Beach has to be one of the best beaches for swimming in the whole area and the journey back on the boat was also super relaxing. Be sure to try the pomegranate juice that is available on the boat.
