Wat Phra Kaeo
Explore the culture and heritage of Chiang Rai on this half-day tour. Visit the beautiful Wat Phra Kaew and Wat Rong Khun temples, monuments displaying intricate Thai architecture. Look through the bustling marketplace of Chiang Rai for local handicrafts and produce. Visit the main Chiang Rai market area for some exotic trinkets and foods before moving on to Wat Phra Kaew, the most sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand, where the famed jade Buddha emerged after an earthquake.

Wat Rong Khun
Move on to the majestic Wat Rong Khun, or White Temple, to wrap up your journey. The ornate structure is lime sculpted with Thai designs and small mirrors on the outer wall, making the building sparkle under the sunlight. Don't miss snapping shots of the intricate murals as well as paintings on the enamel ceramic floor before heading home for a well-deserved rest.

Visited 3 temples, wandered through the market and had a great lunch with our tour guide. Lina was friendly and she was willing to take extra time beyond the half day, even recommending a restaurant for lunch and a coffee shop after our meal. It was a good introduction to Chiang Rai.
The contrast between the new White Temple and the much older Emerald Buddha Temple was interesting. Both worth visiting, especially the latter from an historical point of view.
poppy gave me a private tour around chiang mai - this was a wonderful experience and learned a lot about the town!
Our guide, Poppy, was very polite and knowledgeable and was happy to adjust the tour to fit in the Temple of Mercy after we expressed an interest. He was very patient and allowed us to take our time looking at all the sights. The white temple is spectacular and the art gallery within the grounds is also not to be missed. We also enjoyed the Cave of Art, although this came at a small extra charge. Overall very happy customers and pleased with the tour. Would definitely recommend, however a reminder to pack shoulder coverings would have been great as we didn’t realise they were compulsory until we arrived at the temple and then had to purchase them.
It was a great experience! I really enjoy the places we visited and was amazed by the culture of thailand. Will surely come back again next time.
