I returned a few days ago from a wonderful 3-day trek with my children Andrea and Tancredi (aged 7 and 11). Hamed, Hussain and the boys who carried our equipment on dromedaries are wonderful people. Hamed is an exceptional guide who knows the Sinai mountains like the back of his hand. His stories reveal his deep love for these mountains. I am a great lover of plants and I loved his explanations about the plants we found along the way. Reaching the summit of Mount Saint Catherine on a 3-day trek is the most beautiful experience you can have in the Sinai Mountains, both for the wonderful landscapes you will see and because you will most likely not meet anyone else, as happened to us! We were completely alone and disconnected from the world! Just nature and beautiful human relationships. It is a fairly challenging trek, not for everyone. You need to be fit and used to walking many kilometres on various types of trails. For us, it was very enjoyable because we live in the mountains and love walking. My children could have walked for another week! We will be back soon, ciao Hamed!

First of all, the trip itself was absolutely incredible. The scenery is just magical, and the mountains have this amazing way of touching your spirit. It was truly a transformative experience. And as for Ahmed Moussa and his team, they were simply outstanding. They really knew what they were doing and took great care of all of us, making the whole hike feel safe and enjoyable.
