Cours de cuisine crétoise authentique et expérience à la ferme à La Canée, Crète

This was hands down one of the best and most authentic experiences we have ever done. From the moment we arrived, we truly felt like we were being welcomed into a family rather than attending a cooking class. We spent the day cooking authentic Cretan dishes, drinking their homemade wine, eating, laughing, and just chatting like we had known each other forever. They took the time to walk us around their entire property, where we got to milk the goats, see how everything comes together, and experience a side of Crete that you simply cannot get from a typical tourist activity. We even got to meet their grandmother, whose property has the grapes they use to make their wine — such a special and personal part of the experience. What really stood out to us was how genuinely generous and passionate they were. They kept telling us to stay as long as we wanted, and honestly, we didn’t want to leave! We even tried to tip them TWICE, and they absolutely refused both times. It was so clear that they weren’t doing this for the money — they genuinely love their culture, their family, their food, and sharing it with other people. This felt so much more meaningful than just taking a cooking class. It was an authentic glimpse into Cretan life, family, traditions, and hospitality. We left feeling like we had made friends and gotten to experience something truly special. We cannot recommend this experience enough. One of our favorite experiences we have ever done, and something we will remember forever!

Absolutely wonderful experience. The cooking was only a small part of this but experience. While the cooking was great and the food was fantastic spending a day with an actual creation family, seeing parents and grandparents and how they’ve lived lives over the years was absolutely amazing. We toured their farm and enjoyed a great meal and met fellow travelers along the way, would highly recommend.

This was the best experience of our trip. The family was so kind to open their home, and were well organized keeping us entertained and informed. Very grateful.

An Absolutely amazing experience all round. We were greeted from the moment we arrived by the owners of the farm, and were introduced to all family members (including the gorgeous dog!) Everyone was so friendly and we were encouraged to take our time exploring and getting to know everything and everyone. From the cooking to the views to exploring the enormous farm, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We felt like family from the minute we arrived and were welcomed with open arms and a smile! The quality of the food was very good and so was the company. The family were so knowledgeable and passionate about everything and it felt like they loved having us as guests. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone who is interested in food, farming, music, culture, animals… Thank you all again and I’m sure one day we will be back!
