Canyoning, Rafting et Tyrolienne Aventure de Belek et Antalya

We had a fantastic day with Rapido Rafting during our visit to Turkey and, as a family, we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better day out. We took part in canyoning, white-water rafting and a zip line, and every activity was brilliant from start to finish. We were collected from Belek at around 9:30am in a comfortable, air-conditioned 9-seater van. The journey took approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, and the activities ran from around 11:40am until 4:00pm. Canyoning – Our Family Favourite Our first activity was canyoning, which lasted around 1.5 hours. This involved low-level climbing, sliding down natural rock formations, optional jumps from the rocks into the river, swimming and plenty of opportunities to stop and enjoy the incredible scenery. The canyoning was definitely our family favourite. The water was incredibly clear, the surroundings were beautiful and there were lots of opportunities for photos. Our instructor even carried a waterproof bag for phones, so we could capture some great memories without worrying about our phones getting wet. We also had plenty of breaks, good conversations and lots of laughs along the way. The instructors, known to us as “The Professor” and “Mercia” (although these are clearly nicknames!), were fantastic. They were friendly, experienced and catered brilliantly for all levels of ability. White-Water Rafting The canyoning finished at the beginning of the white-water rafting section, where we teamed up with another family. The rafting lasted around 2 hours and covered approximately 10km. It was another fantastic experience, with plenty of splashing, swimming and general family fun. We even found ourselves splashing almost every other raft on the river! Rapido also had a photographer on the water taking photos and videos, which was a great way to capture the experience. Halfway through the rafting, there was a break where you could buy homemade cheese or potato pancakes and cold drinks. These were around €3 each and could be paid for when we returned to the activity centre. Zip Line After all the water activities, we finished the day with the zip lines. This was perfect timing because it gave us the chance to dry off while enjoying another exciting activity. Food & Facilities A helmet and life jacket are provided free of charge. Water shoes can be rented for around €20 each, although we bought ours at the Belek market for less than €10 each. Lunch was served at around 4:15pm and was included in the ticket price. It consisted of chicken shish, tomato pasta, salad, red cabbage and bread. Honestly, this was probably the best meal we had during any of our days out! Food and drinks could be paid for by cash or card, with both Turkish lira and euros accepted. If you decide to do the buggy experience as well, I would recommend taking sunglasses and a bandana with you. If not you can purchase at the activity centre. Highly Recommended Overall, we would highly recommend Rapido Rafting. The whole day was extremely well organised, the instructors were friendly and professional, and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. As a family, this was our first experience of canyoning and white-water rafting, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. If you have never tried either before, give it a go, you won’t regret it! The canyoning and rafting were definitely the highlights of our holiday, and if we had more time in Turkey, we would absolutely do this trip again.
