Excursion privée

Dear Kevin (owner) and Mattia of Marlove, Siamo davvero lieti di conoscervi. Grazie mille per la splendida ed eccellente esperienza con la vostra escursione in barca. Siete stati fantastici. Kevin of Marlove saved the day, even with short notice, when the GetYourGuide previously booked excursion was a no-show after my friend and I arrived early and waited at the boat dock for an hour and a half in the hot sun with 5 other people, and canceled the booking last minute! We are very frustrated and disappointed. The other people left. (GetYourGuide, when later requested, said a refund will be provided within 3-5 business days.) My friend had initially booked that particular excursion because she went on it 2 years ago on a prior trip to Italy and Tropea, and had an excellent experience then. After our great disappointment, my friend and I decided to try to book another excursion. This is my first trip to Italy. We had traveled by 3 trains from Scalea the day before Tue, 9/15/26, to Tropea - the main intent was to go on the planned and paid for prior booked boating excursion. With our departure due by that afternoon, we knew we were running out of time for the hoped for opportunity. I saw two men on a boat, preparing to go out to sea. The one man I approached, after explaining our frustration and dilemma, said he knows a friend, and immediately called Kevin, the owner of Marlove. I talked to Kevin personally. An hour and a half later, we paid his reasonable fee quoted to me, allowing us to engage in a truly wonderful experience of a lifetime on his boat, thd Grecale, with Mattia, who provided the 3-hour private boating excursion for my friend and I on and in the Tyrrahenian Sea. We give a glowing review for Marlove and express much gratitude for their accommodating us on short notice, their timeliness and reliability, their excellent hospitality, personableness (amiable, congenial), genuinenness, trustworthiness; knowledge of the area - showing and explaining sights of interest and stunning beauty; for two beautiful areas to swim and snorkel in; the yummy snacks and drinks provided (we chose the cold water and non-alcoholic drinks). Our entire excellent experience exceeded any expectations, resulting in a very satisfying, relaxing, enjoyable, very worthwhile experience we'll cherish always! Our ride back to town center afforded us to walk to the train station (discovering our train was canceled), where we caught a taxi to take us an hour away to the next train station where we continued our journey with pre-bought train tickets, arriving safely back to Scalea. I'm most grateful my first trip to Italy from America included my treasured opportunity with Marlove in Tropea with Kevin and Mattia!! Many thanks with all the enthusiasm and appreciation I very sincerely express!!

We had booked a different tour. The guide didn't show up, leaving seven of us sitting in the hot sun. The others left but after the journey with many train issues, we were determined to go on an excursion. My friend talked to a man at the dock who called a friend. He showed up at the exact time he said he would, and gave us a private excursion. It was incredible!!! Thank you Kevin and Mattio!!!

What a day on the beautiful Calabrian coastline. Don’t muck around with the bulk passenger boats, go straight to Marlowe. Our boat trip was private but they do semi private trips as well. The water, the snorkelling and cave swimming was really special which speaks volumes when you’re from Queensland, Australia. Fun crew, great skipper and the best guides. Lock them in
