We had a wonderful Basilica Cistern experience with Han! He was very knowledgeable, had great English, and was accommodating when taking photos of our group during the tour. We had a 6:30pm booking - perfect time to go! No crowds!!! Thank you Han for showing us this amazing Turkish gem.
Han made this tour of the Basilica Cistern come to life in many ways. His use of visuals such as his tablet added lots of visual context as we walked through the cistern. In addition to the incredible engineering by the Romans, Han’s application of humor throughout the tour created an engaging experience. This is a must do with Han!
Han ensured a great experience from beginning to end. He started by accommodating our group of nine—two families traveling together with teens and college-age children—even though the site normally had a group-size limit. He was also very flexible with the start time, as we were still finishing drinks at our meeting point, and he never made us feel rushed or shortened the tour as a result. Getting tickets was smooth and quick, and fortunately the site wasn’t crowded. Throughout the tour, Han offered different perspectives on the significance of the place, including its connection to world cinema, which was an interesting and unexpected addition. At the end, he even had a little treat for each person in our group—a thoughtful touch. Overall, a great experience and a guide who went out of his way to make the visit enjoyable for our whole group.
Excellent Guide And Kind Reception
Highly recommend Han - very informational, skipped the line, great value and we had fun. After our tour, he recommended a fabulous restaurant for launch and guided us there. You will not regret booking his tour!
