Atilla gave us an outstanding tour around Kusadasi and Ephesus. He took us to an authentic Turkish lunch that was delicious, and made sure we saw the House of Mary along with everything else we wanted to cover. He tailored the day entirely to what we wanted to do, and went well beyond the time we'd originally arranged just to be sure we got the full experience. Highly recommend Atilla to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, generous guide in the area.
We had a wonderful morning in Ephesus and can absolutely recommend this tour! The organization by Atilla was excellent from start to finish. We had specifically asked for a very early start so that we could be at Ephesus when the gates opened – and this worked out perfectly. Everything was on time, our driver Ismael picked us up in a very comfortable, modern vehicle, and we arrived just at the right time. Starting this early was definitely worth it. Ephesus certainly wasn't empty when the gates opened, but it was pleasantly uncrowded and we had absolutely no waiting time. As a lovely bonus, much of the site was still in the shade. Especially on a warm September day, this made walking around so much more pleasant. By the time it became hotter and noticeably busier, we had already seen a lot. And then there was our guide Uğur Duman – what a fantastic guide! Uğur speaks excellent German as well as English, has an incredible amount of knowledge and made the history of Ephesus really come alive. This was so much more than just walking from one famous sight to the next. He gave us lots of background, explained fascinating details and connections and always took the time to answer our questions. What we particularly enjoyed was how personal the whole experience felt. No standard programme, no rushing, no waiting – just a completely individual tour at our own pace. And Uğur himself is such a warm, relaxed and genuinely likeable person that spending the morning with him was simply great fun. A big thank you also to Atilla, who recommended Uğur to us because he was already booked for another tour himself. He couldn't have made a better recommendation! And many thanks to Ismael for the excellent and very comfortable transfers. We couldn't have wished for a better way to experience Ephesus. If you have the chance, go early – and go with Uğur! 😊
We had a fantastic private tour of Ephesus with our wonderful guide, Atilla. From the moment he picked us up at Kusadasi Cruise Port, everything was so well organised and relaxed. Atilla was an excellent guide — incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about the history of Ephesus. He explained everything so clearly and brought the ancient ruins to life with fascinating stories and details. We never felt rushed and were able to explore at our own pace. We visited Ephesus, the House of the Virgin Mary and the Temple of Artemis, and every part of the day was special. The private tour made such a difference compared with being in a large group. Atilla also made sure we were comfortable throughout the day and, most importantly for cruise passengers, got us back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. We couldn't have asked for a better guide or a better day. If you're visiting Ephesus from a cruise ship, we highly recommend booking this tour and asking for Atilla. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
