Panoramica
We are a ramen workshop in Kyoto and the only ramen shop we operate. Musoshin Ramen has six stores around the world.
This is the only ramen workshop in Kyoto run by a ramen restaurant, and our classes have many vegetarian and vegan customers.
The ingredients for the ramen you cook are brought from the nearby Musoshin Gion store.
They are the ingredients for ramen made by the chef the day before.
We want people all over the world to eat our ramen. And we want to spread the culture of delicious ramen from here to the world.
With that thought in mind, we created Musoshin Ramen Academy.

Questa classe è gestita da Musoshin Ramen, situato nella zona di Gion a Kyoto. Musoshin Ramen è stata fondata a Kyoto nel 2012 e ora gestisce ristoranti a Kyoto e Toronto. La nostra sede di Toronto è stata nominata per la Guida Michelin per quattro anni consecutivi e usiamo la stessa ricetta in tutti i nostri ristoranti. La nostra missione è diffondere deliziosi ramen in tutto il mondo. Al ristorante Musoshin Ramen, prepariamo tutti i nostri ingredienti ramen in-house. Facciamo i nostri spaghetti ogni giorno e li lasciamo riposare tutta la notte. La nostra zuppa viene preparata in 12 ore. Anche la nostra salsa ramen (tara) e il maiale chashu sono fatti a mano. In questo workshop, cucinerai il tuo ramen utilizzando gli stessi ingredienti del nostro ristorante. Questo è l'unico laboratorio di ramen a Kyoto collegato a un vero ristorante di ramen. In questa classe, dipingerai la tua ciotola di ramen, che verrà cotta durante la notte in un forno speciale. Amazing class!! Yuki is such a wonderful instructor, made the experience so fun and we learned so much. Highly recommended this class for anyone looking for something fun and engaging.
What a great experience! Yuki was a fantastic host and went over and beyond with lots of recommendations for us. The ramen was absolutely delicious and I enjoyed learning how to make it, something I can take home with me- thank you!
Loved it and the ramen itself was actually delicious. The place is a bit hard to find but once there it’s easy to see why this place thrives. Guides were great and spoke very good English, the painting was easy and the food making was well handled. I didn’t realize you had to go back the next day to pick up your bowel so that I’d want people to know about. It may be that I missed it in the description.
This is a great crafting / cooking experience for kids and grownups. They are very patient with little ones. We did it with a 4 year old and 9 year old. They are great at adapting based on the abilities of the kids and very patient when the little one runs around and plays instead of staying on task. One of the kids’ favorite Kyoto experiences!
Great family activity! Sherry was wonderful, and we had a fantastic time. We started by painting our own ramen bowls and then learned how to make ramen from scratch. We’re excited to try making ramen at home and enjoying it in our hand-painted bowls. Just be sure to plan on picking up your bowls the next day after they’ve been fired. Highly recommended!
Very well organized, Makoto was super friendly and spoke English, and the ramen was great
This is a perfect activity for couples, friend groups, or kids/family. Funny and energetic hosts gave great tips for making their signature ramen dish with full recipe provided (but the actual activity is making it with their premade ingredients to save time with kids). It is delicious! The bowl painting activity is really fun to do together, and a nice memory of our trip. Highly recommend.
In this class you paint a ramen bowl and assemble your ramen from disparate parts. You do get to mix the sauce and broth together and cook the noodles. The guides speak passable english. This is a great class for children, but may be a bit too basic for adults with good cooking skills.
