You will start off by meeting ‘Nelson’ our ‘Grand Old Man of the Sea’ and from there we will wind our way through the beautiful harbour town, the hidden backstreets, the quay side and the wonderful bridge ending up at our magnificent beachfront and ‘Banjo Pier’
Along the way learn about the history of the town, its building and its people. See the hidden streets and buildings that you wouldn’t normally see, and hear stories fo the characters that have worked here .
The tour is fun, light and informative, and you are free to ask me questions to make the most of your experience.
I will recommend local places to eat and drink, and know the area well.

Well we have been coming to Looe for over 30 years sometimes 4 or 5 times a year. Parents had a caravan and sister lived in Looe for many years. We have local friends and know a boatman we have had many trip to sea. The skipper of the boat we used to go on is born and bred in Looe and is also very knowledgeable of the area and we have heard many tales over the 30 years. I have read many local books on history.Yes I thought I knew alot about Looe until I went on the historic tour. I was that impressed we then went on the Smugglers and skulduggery tour. Again a very informative tour. We were again that impressed that we have now booked on the ghost tour. I am unable to do the culinary tour because of allergies. Mark was a brilliant guide and very informative and entertaining. If you are into local history book a tour early in your holiday as you will want to go on the other. Brilliant walking tour in Looe
We have been holidaying in Looe two or three times a year for the last twelve years, and it's amazing how you think you know the place yet you really don’t. Our guide, Mark, opened our eyes and taught us so much about the town. His style is great; he answered every question the group had, and I am sure we went over time. We learnt so much about the town and its history; it was a real eye-opener. I would recommend the tour to anyone.
Mark is a great guide. He knows the history of Looe well and shares it in an entertaining way. He uses both verbal stories and visual aides. As all good guides do, he reminds you to look for the hidden clues.
I have lived in Looe most of my life but could not believe how much that I didn’t know. A fun & informative tour, would recommend to both locals and visitors alike. Looking forward to the next one!
We've been coming to the Looe area for 20 years but 10 minutes in with Mark made us realised how much more there is to this lovely, interesting place. Mark was informative with a well-thought-out walking tour covering West to East Looe. Filled with fun stories and interesting facts - it was absolutely brilliant! Great for people interested in history of a place but without being overwhelmed.

We had a fabulous tour with Mark. It was a lovely relaxed walk around Looe, taking us from Pennyland to Pier. Mark took us into St Nicholas Church and shared its rich and colourful history with us before walking along West Looe Quay, over the bridge and into East Looe. A lovely informal and informative walk that we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend (and may well do again!)
The historic walking tour of Looe was excellent. Mark was extremely knowledgeable and professional and the time passed very quickly. It was a very hot day but walking around the shady backstreets of Looe was very enjoyable. I hope to try the smugglers tour next.
