Il birrificio Grind City si trova su una delle scogliere del Mississippi, nella vecchia sede della fabbrica di impiallacciature e mobili Tri-State. Crosstown Brewing
Crosstown Brewing è stata fondata dagli entusiasti homebrewer Will Goodwin e Clark Ortkiese nel 2018. Il birrificio utilizza birra e buon umore per rafforzare la comunità. L'ubicazione del loro birrificio è adiacente al vecchio edificio di Sears Crosstown costruito nel 1927 e purtroppo è rimasto vuoto per anni ed è caduto in rovina. Nel 2017 è stato ristrutturato e rimesso in servizio come villaggio urbano verticale, il Crosstown Concourse. Ospita un negozio di alimentari, diversi ristoranti, negozi al dettaglio, uffici, un YMCA, una scuola superiore, un ufficio postale... e ovviamente proprio accanto al Crosstown Brewery.

Brian was amazing as a tour guide! Any questions asked he was able to answer. Each of the brewery’s that we went to were awesome too.

We had the absolute best time on our city brew tour with Brian! He was so knowledgeable and passionate about craft beer and he made the tour so much fun! Over the last 20 years, we have gone on many food, beer, distillery, winery and ghost tours. This was by far the best experience we have had. Brian was intentional about reaching out prior to the tour with additional information needed for the brewery tour. He also gave us great recommendations for different restaurants and neighborhoods to explore in the Memphis area. Don’t miss this tour when you’re visiting Memphis! Next time we are in the area, we will go on another tour with Brian for sure!
This tour was well worth the price. There were only four of us, and tour operator was extremely nice. He was very knowledgeable about the beer making process, and gave us a step by step of how different beers are made. We sampled a lot of beers, and went to three different breweries. He even; dropped us off at our hotel. This is a tour I can truly recommend.
From beginning to end, this tour was outstanding. My brother, nephew and I really enjoyed the tour. Brian was very informative, knowledgeable and humorous. He knows the history of beer, beer making and how this industry has been a large staple in the Memphis, TN area. I will keep this tour in mind for when family and friends come to visit Memphis, TN.
My wife and I were very pleased with this tour. Brian was awesome; he is knowledgeable, personable, and selected 3 excellent breweries for us to visit. If you enjoy great beer, good conversation, and learning something along the way, this is the tour for you!
