What a wonderful experience! Polina was the best. We spent the day exploring the Northern Rhône (Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Saint-Joseph) and she made it unforgettable. Polina is a true educator, not just a driver. She walked us through the appellations with a hand-annotated map, explained the AOC/IGP/VDF classification system, and broke down the grapes of the region (Syrah, Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne) so the tastings actually made sense. The domaine visits were intimate and authentic, including small producers where we tasted directly with the winemakers. Beyond the wine, we got history and scenery: hilltop vineyard viewpoints over the Rhône, the medieval village of Malleval, and the 300-year-old Chapelle du Calvaire in Chavanay. She also arranged an extended experience with a beautiful picnic and fabulous local cheese overlooking the valley.
