It was our first time in Japan, and our first tour in Kyoto was with Michael. Michael is a hostory buff and really finds the time to explain the rich history of the Geisha, Shinto Shrines and Buddhist temples along the way. He’s extremely friendly, easy to approach and ask questions and get insights which left me in awe. The tour is easy going, the path was easy to walk with a few uphill and downhill moments. Michael was very kind to us as he adjusted the pace of the tour as we were a group of 4, two of which were with elderly age 75 and up. This was much appreciated and I would highly recommend Michael and this tour if you want to learn about Kyoto, the Gion district and the rich history behind it.
