What a fantastic day! We learned so much and saw so many interesting sites that we never would have seen on our own. Matthias is a wealth of knowledge. Can't wait to come back to England and do another tour with Galahad Tours!
Words cannot express how Fantastic an experience we had with Matthias & Galahad Tours. We are seasoned travelers & have used private guides & tours on a number of occasions. June 2026 we booked a five day private tour of the Cotswolds in the UK with Matthias. From the start we had a fantastic experience. Matthias is an absolute joy, an outstanding guide, & totally experienced with all the knowledge we needed to make the trip meaningful. This spanned across every imaginable aspect of this UK expereience. He was consistently thoughtful, considerate,& read our interests & priorities extremely well. Plus he was great fun to be with!!. From pickup to drop-off, everything went smoothly. Communication was clear and timing was on point. The jeep ride was fun and safe. Sunrise views were unforgettable. The hot spring was a nice bonus and not rushed at all. Would definitely recommend this if you’re visiting Bali.
Mattias with Galahad Tours gave my husband and I another fantastic tour. This was day 3 of 3 private guided tours from Bath. Matthias took us to Wells and Glastonbury. Both areas were very interesting and beautiful. Our guide made the historical events come to life. It was cool to see where King Arthur and Guinevere were most likely buried. Also, Glastonbury was quite a surprise as being a fun and lively place and completely “new age“. We stopped at ato a nice local place for lunch. It was a fun and interesting day. Matthias was more than we expected! Aware of our interest in Roman History, he didn’t miss a thing! He offered us options along the way and introduced us to so much more than we imagined including local “not usually on standard” tour experiences and helped me find a unique piece of jewelry from the same stone found in Stonehenge! Matt was both informative and entertaining. As for the sights, amazing. I've never been to a place like either Glastonbury or Wells. Quaint, stuffed to the brim with history and lore, and utterly fascinating, both past and present. The best tour I've ever booked.
We first toured with Matthias a few years ago and we wanted to come back to explore more with him on our recent visit. It was like meeting up with an old friend and we really enjoyed exploring Somerset this time - Glastonbury and Cheddar Gorge and Wells. The weather was perfect and the scenery was as beautiful and varied as M told us. We even got to try some original cheddar cheese and visited a local cider farm on the second day. He always chooses somewhere great to eat lunch and really takes his time to answer all our questions. Thank you, J&G
