Private Full Day Wine Tour in Provence

We were two couples from California and Colorado, traveling through France with part of our trip being a Rhône river cruise from Avignon to Lyon. We booked a private tour to Chateauneuf-du-Pape on June 5th 2026 hoping to avoid the more touristy and crowded wine tasting and tour experiences. Our expert guide Eric picked us up exactly on time at our ship’s dock and took us to two smaller, family owned wineries followed by lunch at a beautiful restaurant high atop a hill overlooking the region. Eric was friendly, personable, and highly knowledgeable. His background as a winemaker was a wonderful enhancement to our lovely experience. If you are looking for a more intimate wine experience away from the crowds, don’t hesitate to book a private experience with Provence Wine Tours, and request Eric to be your guide. Highly, highly recommend!

An excellent personalised day tour with wonderful driver and guide Lara of two beautiful vineyards and medieval villages.

Custom, bespoke wine tour. The most unique experience with small, organic wine producers. An experience you can’t recreate on your own!

We booked two tours with this company. Both were fabulous. We especially appreciated Loris’s knowledge of wines and Eric’s excellent recommendations. We were so well taken care of. We highly recommend this company.

Great tour, very relaxed with private feel. Great tour guide, provided good amount of information. Enjoyed seeing more private, family-run vinyards.
