Sunset and champagne tasting in the vineyards

Christophe was lovely and picked me up from my hotel in Reims. He then drove us into the villages of Sacy and Chamery where everyone was in the middle of harvest. We continued on into the vineyards stopping at several breathtaking points high on the hillsides. The last one we got out and I was able to walk around and taste the different grapes growing right on the vines! Champagne and light snacks were provided as we began to watch the sun go down and the light shift. It had rained all day and we almost cancelled the whole thing but I’m glad we didn’t! Spectacular views and memories I won’t forget!

It’s was great the house the garden was just perfect and romantic 🥰 . The host was very welcoming. Nice family. Overall a great experience.

Great way to start our trip to champagne! We arrived in the afternoon and did this in the evening. Beautiful sunset with good information about the grapes, towns and even how to open a bottle to give foundational that we used the next two days on our tours of the caves and champagne houses.

Our tour operator, Christophe arranged to pick us up early as the weather was questionable. We drove through the vineyards and such quaint villages on our way to the top of the mountains. We tasted grapes off the vine and enjoyed champagne tasting in two different and beautiful locations with stunning views. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. We had a great time!
