Wine Tour in Roussillon: Picnic & Tasting Day

All I can say is wow. What a life changing experience! We cannot recommend Catalan Wine Escape more!! We had such a day to remember. Nicolas was very informative and was able to answer any questions we had about the vineyards and wine we were tasting. He had a in depth of knowledge about the wine industry and the production process, which he took us through from start to finish. The trip felt very personal and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience… we definitely recommend!

Fun and informative wine tour this morning with Nicolas. We learnt a lot about wine making in this region, Roussillon. Tasted delicious wines. Got a unique look at a winemaker in the town of Banyuls. And a beautiful tour through the area with spectacular views. We enjoyed ourselves immensely!

We had such a great day on this wine tasting tour around the Perpignan area. The real star of the day was our guide, Nicolas. He knew so much about the region and the wines, and he made everything easy to understand and really fun. He even chose the wines we tasted based on what we liked, which made it feel really personal. It honestly felt like he had the “Golden Key” for the region. We’d tried to book visits on our own and didn’t have much luck because of the language and opening hours, but with Nicolas, everything just worked smoothly. The wineries we visited were all great, the wines were excellent, and we had a lovely picnic lunch out in the vineyard—simple, local, and delicious. The private bus had aircon and was super comfortable, which was a nice bonus on that really hot day. Overall, it was the best value for money of our trip and one of our favorite experiences in France. If you’re anywhere near Perpignan, don’t miss this tour! What an awesome day exploring the wine culture of the Roussillon region around Perpignan! The countryside was beautiful, and of course we got to sample so many excellent wines. Nicolas was an informative and fun guide for the day. Many of the cellars and sites felt very exclusive, and we could never have had such an in-depth experience without his expertise and connections.
