- Kick off your PADI Open Water course with a morning theory session led by our expert instructor. We'll review your pre-completed e-learning and cover essential scuba diving concepts to prepare you for your first in-water training in the afternoon.
- Koh Tao In the afternoon, board our private scuba diving boat to visit two dive sites. Practice your new skills in a shallow, real-world environment near the beach with close instructor supervision, helping you master underwater buoyancy and start blowing bubbles for the first time!
- After the dive, wrap up with a debriefing and a step-by-step guide on cleaning your equipment—an essential skill for when you have your own gear. Once finished, relax on our beachfront deck and soak in Koh Tao’s stunning sunset.
- You'll dive deeper into scuba diving theory with your instructor, building on what you learned the previous day. This session will cover more advanced concepts and prepare you for the exciting open water dives ahead. With the knowledge gained, you’ll be ready to apply your skills in the afternoon as you explore Koh Tao’s dive sites.
- Koh Tao Board our private scuba diving boat and explore two stunning dive sites in Koh Tao. Put your theory into practice as you complete your first two open water dives, gaining valuable hands-on experience in real-world conditions. With close instructor supervision, you'll refine your skills, build confidence, and become more comfortable underwater while gradually diving deeper.
- After the dive, you'll have a debriefing session and review any remaining theory to prepare for your final two dives the following morning. Once completed, unwind on our beachfront deck and enjoy the breathtaking sunset views of Koh Tao.
- Koh Tao On the morning of the last day, you’ll embark on your final two open water dives, confidently applying everything you’ve learned as you explore the stunning dive sites of Koh Tao. With your instructor’s expert guidance, you’ll refine your skills and dive deeper into the vibrant underwater world, bringing you one step closer to achieving your PADI Open Water certification—an accomplishment worth celebrating!
- Wrap up the course with a debriefing, where you'll review everything you've learned and accomplished. You'll also clean your equipment and log your dives on the PADI app, ensuring you’ll always have a record of your incredible experience. This marks the final step in earning your PADI Open Water certification, a milestone you'll surely remember for years to come!

Couldn’t recommend Nava enough if you’re interested in obtaining your PADI open water certification while in Koh Tao. Two friends and I did the 3 days course an it was super fun and rewarding! Everything is very professional and they provide everything you could need. Also, a special mention to our instructor, Tao, who was excellent - he was very friendly as well as being super knowledgeable!
I can't say enough good things about my time here! Mo, the instructor, was patient and clear in explaining all the skills for my 18-meter open water certification. The team made me feel right at home, and the dive locations were stunning. After each dive, I had the chance to relax and watch the beautiful sunsets from the good viewpoint, making it a truly unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a warm, professional team and amazing diving, this is the place!
What a fantastic experience. From start to finish the process and people were great. Our instructors were with us every step of the way and I felt completely comfortable and safe in their hands. My husband and I are older and I had sinus issues and had to descend very very very slow and then buoyancy issues but I knew one of the instructors would always be close at hand and they were, providing assistance at all the right times. Highly recommend NAVA
Had an amazing time with Mo ( instructor) learning to get my 18 metre open water qualification. Mo was very patient and thorough when explaining the skills necessary in order to obtain the qualification. Good food here as well. Whole team here is very warm and welcoming. Location is amazing and can go watch the sunset after the day is finished at 360 viewpoint. Thanks for such a positive experience!
Definitely a recommendation! Got my PADI open water, advanced and enriched air here. Never a busy boat and you will dive in small groups. They plan the dives on your experience level and make sure that you enjoy the dives and get back on the boat safe. Had a great time with my instructor Moe during the dives as well as after the dives in the nice dive shop. I will come back to Koh Tao to dive with Nava!

Best diving experience at Nava, our Instructor was Les. He was the best and made sure we got an amazing experience. I had trouble clearing my ears, we went slowly through it, and made sure i could dive. If you are looking for a diving school that isnt too big and makes you feel at home, this is the one!
I did the PADI Open Water Diver course at Nava with my girlfriend and it was one of the most exciting and best experiences of our vacation. We had already completed the theoretical part of the course in advance via PADI eLearning, which was recognized on site without any problems or hassle. Our theoretical knowledge was briefly refreshed, which definitely didn't hurt, and then we went straight into the practical part. Any initial reservations we had about diving were dispelled from the very first minute by our instructor Les. With his professional and highly likeable manner, he taught us everything we needed to know to dive independently in open water in a playful yet serious way during the first practice sessions in the pool. With each exercise we became more confident and by the end of the day we felt ready to dive in open water. The 4 dives we experienced with Les in the sea over the following 2 days were very impressive. In addition to the correct techniques and respectful treatment of the underwater world, the fun factor of diving was always at the forefront. I am very grateful to Les and Nava for this experience and can recommend the company one hundred percent.
