We started this dream in our tiny home kitchen, welcoming travelers into our family and sharing the Greece we truly love. Today, you may find other experiences that look very similar — sometimes even using the same words, recipes and ideas. Was a great class! We learned a bunch and the chef was very kind and helpful when teaching us! Truly felt like we were being taught how to cook a meal by a helpful new friend we just made! And the recipes were simple enough that I felt confident I could duplicate it on my own, while still being very tasty! He also taught us about the significance of each of the ingredients or dishes, so I feel like I learned not just cooking skills but a bit of cultural knowledge. Absolutely recommend!
This was such a fun cooking class from a local family. We made gyros, two Greek dips, and a delicious traditional Greek dessert. (+ more). Highly recommend while in Athens, it was wonderful!
Great experience. The person teaching was super friendly and the food we cooked was some of the better food we ate over the entire trip. We look forward to trying to recreate the recipes at home. I would recommend- worth the price
What a great time! Not only was it so much fun but we learned so much about cooking gyros. The host was charming and funny. The other guest were wonderful to spend time with. And most importantly, the meal at the end was delicious! This is an amazing way to do something different on your trip and gain some knowledge on Greek cooking culture.
We enjoyed this experience very much and learned a lot about how to make gyros, pita bread, several sauces and a dessert. Lots of fun! The people that taught the class were very nice and knowledgeable about Greek cooking. Would definitely recommend!
This was the Best Hand On Cooking class we’ve ever done. Chef Minas was knowledgeable, fun, and so helpful with us. We made gyros, pitas, sauces, and no bake cheese cake; all from scratch. It was fun and easy to make. There was so much food and drinks we had extras to take back with us. All of the food and fixings were so delicious. If you have never taken a cooking class before or have done a few; this is one you’ll want to do. Much appreciated Chef Minas!

We absolutely loved our Cooking with Greek Cousins experience in Athens! This was such a fun, hands-on cooking class, and Miks was a fantastic instructor—friendly, engaging, and made the entire experience so enjoyable. We chose the 3:30 PM class so it could double as our dinner, which was perfect, especially since we were still pretty jet-lagged and appreciated the earlier timing. We made chicken and pork gyros, homemade pita, traditional Greek spreads, and a delicious Greek dessert. Everything was incredible! There were only two other people in our class, so it felt almost like having a private cooking experience. It was relaxed, interactive, and such a fun way to learn more about Greek food and culture. Our only regret was not having a refrigerator so we could take all of our leftovers with us! We would absolutely recommend Cooking with Greek Cousins to anyone visiting Athens. It’s such a memorable alternative to a traditional dinner out—and you get an amazing meal at the end. One of our favorite experiences in Athens
