Durango Rafting - Animas River Adventure Day

We had a blast on the Animas river. We did a run in the raft and enjoyed that it was just us 3 and our guides. Next, we got in the Duckies and did another run through. It was more hands on and entertaining on the Duckies. My son “surfed” and I just went for a swim when I tried to. We got to see Shiloh and Jake in action when my son lost his paddle and then took a swim in the rapids. That ended up being my 12yr olds favorite part. He swam through the rapids to the rescue rope Shiloh threw to him. They made sure he was safe, then had to rescue the ducky still stuck in the rapid. I only wish I had pictures of us in the Duckies when he went in, but only our rafting was captured in the digital photos but they were amazing photos provided after our trip.

We had an amazing adventure day with Hannah and Logan. We were worried the half day would be too short and am so glad we went for the full adventure day because the day just flew by. Our two boys, ages 10 and 6, were with us and it was the perfect first time rafting experience for them. Our boys loved playing and joking around with our guides and they were wonderful and took good care of them. The adventure day was tailored for us, the scenery was gorgeous, the rafting was so fun, we got to stop for a couple dips in the river, go through the rafting park twice per our oldest son’s request, and enjoyed the delicious snacks and lunch our guides prepared for us. The adventure day with Hannah and Logan was the highlight of our 2 week road trip and we look forward to another future trip.

This trip will be remembered for years to come! Lots of rapids, great crew, friendly fellow rafters and great laughs. We had a fabulous guide, Hannah, who kept us all on the boat, haha! Mountain Waters Rafting provided wetsuits and jackets so we were well suited up for the white water. Definitely recommend this company & taking this trip and looking forward to our next rafting adventure!

We had an amazing experience with Mountain Waters Rafting and Adventure Co! We “boated” down the Animas River in Durango, Colorado. Kina was the “funnest” trip leader and guide!! A must do when in Durango!! We kept Rules 1 and 2-Stay in the boat! Great experience! Whole family.

Had an awesome time! We had perfect weather. Our guides Shea & Shiloh were great! She was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information along the river. Would go with this group anytime!!!
