Private Ephesus Shore Excursion

Erman, our guide, was excellent, and he made our visit to Ephesus an outstanding experience. We also visited Sirince, which was delightful, and not at all busy when we were there. We anticipated lunching at one of the lovely restaurants there, but instead were whisked away to one of those places that caters en masse for visitors, which was very disappointing. Erman offered to show us a local pottery and Turkish Delight emporium, but it had been a very hot day at Ephesus, so we contented ourselves with stopping at the Temple of Artemis before returning to our ship. Apart from lunch, the organisation of the day was excellent.

We had a wonderful tour that included Ephesus and Sirince and the Temple of Artemis. Our tour guide Begu was great and provided a very entertaining description of the sights in Ephesus, lots of information but not boring. We saw a coffee making demo and rug making demo then had a delicious lunch. This was our first time in Turkey and we thoroughly enjoyed it thanks to Begu.

This was a top notch tour from beginning to end. Picked us up at the exact time we requested. Our guide spoke fluent English and was a wealth of knowledge of both Ephesus and of the local area. We were suprised on the way back with a complementary lunch and presentation on how Turkish carpets are made. -- an opportunity to buy yes, but absolutely no sales pressure. You cant go wrong choosing this tour.

<p>One of the best tours I have done with our own private guide and a large mini bus to takeus on the trip. Ephesus was outstanding and the visit to the hill top village was well worth the drive. We did go to a government sponsored carpet factory traniing women in weaving. We could have missed it out but at least there was no hard selling. There was only my daughter and myself on the excursion. Well worth the money and a delight.</p>

<p>Our guide were amazing. Great place to visit. We enjoyed this more than Pompeii.</p>
