We spend time at the Olive Grove, we learn about nurturing the trees, the traditions and the culture of the local people while we relax having some raki accompanied by the olives produced by the trees, under their shade.
After that we visit the Olive Mill to find out by the man in responsible of the critical points in order to produce one of the best Olive Oils in the world.
We then have a 20 minute walk through various Groves and gardens of local groceries in order to reach a family run taverna where we will learn how we taste and use olive oil and the local ingredients.
We will enjoy our fully Cretan lunch and drinks, have a conversation and answer any questions left. Products will be available to buy.

Fabulous day of walking through olive groves, seeing how olive oil is made and then being taught to cook like a Cretan. Nikos was a fantastic guide and host and we would thoroughly recommend it as a day out. To be honest one of the best meals we have had and we have been coming to this part of Crete for 10 years. Go if you get the opportunity 10/10

We had the absolute best time on the Olive Oil Trail for our Teambuilding! Nikos was a master host who managed to captivate all 23 of us throughout the entire day. From walking through the peaceful olive groves and touring the factory to cooking local dishes and enjoying lunch under the olive trees, every detail was perfect. The raki tasting was a blast, and the olive oil tasting was an unexpectedly extraordinary experience that we're all still talking about. Thank you for an unforgettable day—this is hands-down one of the best group activities we’ve ever done!
We cannot recommend this enough! We were on our honeymoon and weren't wanting to do much other than relax, however after meeting Nikos and reading the reviews we were convinced we had to come on this tour and we are so happy we did. We learnt so much about Crete, cooking and of course Olive Oil! How the olives are grown, collected, produce olive oil, tasting and cooking with it. Even bringing back some recipes that we are now cooking at home! Niko is a wonderful, friendly and knowledgable guide. He picked us up from our hotel and from that moment on the day was nothing but fun and interesting
We did the olive oil tasting/tour and culinary experience. Niko was a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. By the end, we not only got to understand culinary life on Crete but also left having made a new friend. Highly recommend for a close-up local experience.

Would definitely recommend this private tour. It was an interesting trip and we learned so much about the process of olive oil production, from the olive groves to the production plant to tasting the olive oil. I will not forget the oil is squeezed from the fruit ! Finishing with preparing our own meal with oil olive. Then relaxing by Nico’s (our very knowledgeable guides) families garden allotment that was growing most of the ingredients. It is possibly the best traditional Cretan experience you could wish for. Thank you to all who made it so special.
