The workshop includes sharing pottery decoration techniques and fun. Visiting and working in a professional ceramics studio is a unique experience. Our artisan workshop is accredited by the Generalitat de Catalunya. The opportunity to try your hand at this craft tradition will create a unique and memorable experience.
Wendy and her husband Eric are the founders of Taller Gingell. Reviewed as "a new generation of exceptional artisans" and highlighted as "artisan projects you should know in the fashion world" according to Marie Claire, Condé Nast Traveller and others.
Wendy’s exhibited her work in Europe and North America, including at the Smithsonian, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Barcelona Design Museum and the American Craft Council craft shows. Her work is part of permanent museums and private collections in North America and Europe

Wat je gaat doen
Intensieve cursus handbouw Een cursus van een week met toegewijd les- en studiowerk. Ideaal om de belangrijkste keramiekvaardigheden onder de knie te krijgen en te genieten van toegewijde tijd om een oeuvre op te bouwen. Je leraar, Wendy, zal deze 20 uur durende cursus gedurende 5 dagen leiden. Meld u alleen of met een vriend aan - dit is een open, vriendelijke omgeving. Ervaring met keramiek is niet nodig. Alles is inbegrepen. Het is niet nodig om iets speciaals mee te nemen. We hebben een schort voor je klaarstaan. Elke student kan maximaal 5 items selecteren om vuur te maken. De instructie is in het Spaans en/of Engels op basis van uw voorkeuren. Wat je gaat leren en wat we gaan doen De cursus bestaat uit 5 opeenvolgende lessen van vier uur van maandag tot en met vrijdag. Elke les is bedoeld om tijdens de eerste twee uur specifieke technieken te introduceren. De tweede twee uur zijn individuele constructie met speciale instructie. Leer essentiële handbouwtechnieken. Deze vaardigheden worden gebruikt om functioneel en sculpturaal werk te maken. Dit vormt de basis voor bijna elk handbouwproject. Aan het einde van deze cursus leer je veel handbouwtechnieken in klei en maak je een aantal unieke keramische stukken. Deze cursus is geschikt voor alle niveaus.

This week of hand building ceramics with Wendy far surpassed my expectations. She first asked me what I was interested in learning and then designed the course especially for me. Wendy was extremely knowledgeable about each step of the process, and I found my time with her to be not only informative, but very inspiring as well. I can't wait to try out everything she taught me! I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in ceramics.

The course is intensive and very well prepared! I enjoyed every moment because Wendy and Eric are great teachers, they follow everything you do and give suggestions on how to improve your ceramic skills. The atmosphere in the studio is very pleasant. All recommendations for this course :)
Incredible! I had 5 days with Wendy one to one. I just can’t recommend this course highly enough to anyone new or experienced in hand building ceramics. Wendys knowledge and her ability to teach and share her experience and expertise were outstanding. Her working studio is a great spot. I’m going home with a teapot, vase, cup and ceramic stamps that I made in completely my own style, and will be bisque fired and well packed when I pick them up in a couple of days Next time I’m in Barcelona I will be doing this course again and I can’t wait to get home now and put everything I learned into practice.

This is the second time that I joined the course at Taller Gingell with Wendy and Eric and I am impressed with every detail of the course! Everything is perfectly planned, every step is explained, and they make sure to really follow how you work and give you suggestions. At the end we got the photos that they took during the process. All the recommendations!
It was absolutely lovely and enjoyable. We had a lot of fun and I would recommend to both family and friends, even as a cute date idea.
