Mari Mari Cultural Village
09.00/14.00 uur ophalen bij het hotel en doorgaan naar Inanam voor het culturele dorp Mari-Mari. Bij aankomst wordt u begroet als voorbereiding op uw tijdreis naar het prehistorische Borneo; Een briefing over de dorpsregels is een must voordat u binnenkomt. Je wordt begroet door de Chief en volgt een aangepaste welkomstceremonie. Vervolgens kunt u via de hangbrug naar Mari-Mari lopen. Mari-mari Cultural Village is een combinatie van vijf etnische groepen, zoals Dusun, Rungus, Murut, Bajau en Lundayeh. Elke etnische groep heeft zijn eigen exotische verhalen en traditionele dans, maar ook zijn geschiedenis. De lunch wordt geserveerd in Mari-Mari zelf. Na de lunch is het tijd om afscheid te nemen van de dorpelingen en naar de 21e eeuw te vertrekken, terwijl we u naar uw respectievelijke hotel brengen.

This trip was awesome. Our guide at the village was Nana who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. It was extremely interesting to visit different tribes homes and sample their food and drink. Nana explained why and how each house was different. Recommend this tour very interesting from start to finish.
We visited Mari Mari on an excursion from our ship. Mari Mari Cultural Village has a collection of huts representing 5 of the tribes of Borneo. Each hut is stocked with items you would find in the represented village. Outside each hut we received a food or drink that would have been made in the village. I didn't get our guide's name, but he was awesome! After touring all the huts we gathered in a large tent were we got to watch dances from the five tribes. Very cool! I highly recommend visiting Mari Mari.
We went to the village from a cruise ship tour and they did a great job handling a big crowd. Got a real sense of history and culture of Borneo. Go and enjoy your, food, drink and traditional dancing.
An amazing tour. Our driver was on time, the drive to the village was only about 40 mins, and the bus was in very good conditions. At the village, the tour guide was great, very knowledgeable and approachable. The dancing ahow was colorful and entertaining. The food provided was ver good as well. I highly recommend this tour.
Wow wow. A very well organised place with lots of history and interaction. From tasting food, drinks to a henna tattoo. This place should be visited by all.
A well set up area in the bush with homes of different tribes. Our guide (Ariel ? the name he gave so we could remember ) who spoke perfect English had a vast knowledge and understanding of the history and tribal differences. He also had a great sense of humour. He was very attentive to all members of the tour group. We enjoyed sampling the different foods and drinks and the entertainment including the indoor bamboo trampoline
A wonderful cultural experience! Great care is made to ensure a very realistic representation of various original Borneo tribal history. The culminating performance was exceptional!
