Anne did a wonderful job of giving us a tour that was not the standard Derry tour, and that was what we were looking for.
I booked this tour with Anne very last minute and it turned out to be just me and her. It was a lovely morning. Anne is a very knowledgeable and engaging guide with great stories. I'm very familiar with Derry but I learned an awful lot more. Anne is doing a very important role in educating us about the history of women in Derry and all in a very entertaining and enjoyable way. Highly recommended. Thank you Anne
Anne was incredible! I ended up being the only person for my time slot which was great, but even with a large group I’m sure Anne would lead an incredible tour through Derry. She is very knowledgeable and I learned so much during my time with her. I am glad I was able to explore Derry after this tour as I had a much better understanding of the city. I definitely learned things on this tour that other guides wouldn’t necessary know as Anne is a true ‘herstorian.’

I’ve done quite a few walking tours over the years, but the Herstory Derry Tour was genuinely one of the most memorable. Anne is a fantastic guide – incredibly knowledgeable, engaging and clearly passionate about the stories she tells. What makes this tour so special is that it shines a light on the women who are often missing from traditional accounts of Derry's history. It offers a fresh and fascinating perspective on the city, bringing to life the experiences, achievements and influence of women from different periods of Derry's past. Anne has a real gift for storytelling. The tour was packed with interesting facts and insights, but it never felt like a history lecture. Instead, it felt like uncovering hidden stories around every corner, with Anne's warmth, humour and enthusiasm keeping us engaged throughout. Whether you're visiting Derry for the first time or think you already know the city well, this tour will leave you seeing it in a completely new way. I came away having learned a huge amount and with an even greater appreciation for the city's rich history. Highly recommended – a real highlight of my visit.

This is a fantastic tour. It tells a different side of Derry which is not available elsewhere while at the same time sets the scene more broadly.
Anna was absolutely amazing! She was so knowledgeable and shared interesting stories. She was able to share a ton of information while still being engaging! Would highly highly recommend this tour!
