Clémence was our wonderful tour guide, and our transportation was an old-fashioned VW van named WOODY—which made the day even more fun and memorable! We started our tour in Biarritz, stopping at the lighthouse, admiring the beautiful beach, and learning about the history of how this seaside city first developed. From there, we drove through the beautiful Basque countryside, passing traditional Basque houses and charming little villages. We visited Moulin de Bassilour in Bidart, a historic watermill, where Clémence brought out traditional Basque cake and apple juice for us to taste. We continued through Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Guéthary, learning about their fascinating fishing, whaling, and maritime history. We then traveled along the spectacular coast, stopping at the cliffs and watching surfers in the Belharra wave area. At the end of our tour, Clémence dropped us off at Les Halles market, where we were able to explore the wonderful food stalls. She even gave us a great recommendation for lunch. Everyone had a wonderful time! Clémence was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience enjoyable. WOODY added a fun, nostalgic touch to the day, and we felt like we got to see and experience parts of the Basque Country that we might otherwise have missed. Highly recommend this tour! 🇫🇷❤️🇪🇸

We had such an informative and casual adventure with Clemente. She was such a pleasure to have as a guide. We learned all about Basque country, our locale, the history, and traditions during the tour. All seven of our group thought it was the best tour of our vacation and a wonderful journey into beauty of this area.
Clémence was a wonderful hostess, our four-hour tour of the French Basque coastline educational and fun, all while travelling in a vintage Kombi van. We unfortunately only had a couple of days in the area otherwise what we learnt and saw on the tour would have been a perfect guide how and where to spend a few more following days. Highly recommended as an experience
Clemence was a very knowledgeable tour guide and provided detailed insights into the BASQUE spirit and way of life. This tour visited multiple small towns along the Basque coast and even included a stop at a local bakery and Basque cake tasting. Riding around in the VW Woody was very comfortable and added to the local surfing charm of the area. Would highly recommend this tour. 10 out of 10.

A superb morning despite a few drops; traveling with Clémence and Woody was a real pleasure; as a Basque by adoption, Clémence knows her subject perfectly and taught us a lot about the region. Great experience with Woody, an authentic 1978 van. I highly recommend this excursion
