Montalcino

Val D'Orcia
Här stannar du för panoramautsikt och tar bilder av det fantastiska landskapet där filmen Gladiatorn spelas in. Genom de kuperade vidderna av de gamla vingårdarna och olivlundarna, som kännetecknar det fantastiska territoriet når vi Val d'Orcia, UNESCO arv, ett harmoniskt landskap av kullar prickade med cypresser, avbrutna av slott, kyrkor, gamla byar av etruskiskt ursprung och gårdar som följer vägen av den berömda "Via Francigena".

Montepulciano
Slutligen, efter en kort resa på en panoramaväg, når vi Montepulciano, omgiven av befästa murar och uppe på en kulle 600 meter över havet mellan Val d'Orcia och Val di Chiana. Staden är känd för sitt ädla vin där du kan beundra historiska Palace. Här kan du njuta av din fritid att promenera längs de branta gatorna, besöka de historiska vinkällarna och beundra de fantastiska renässansbyggnaderna. Our Montalcino & Pienza wine tour was truly the highlight of our Italy trip and we hated to see it end! Every part of the experience was so thoughtfully planned and perfectly executed. The winery was absolutely breathtaking, the medieval towns were incredible to explore, and the panoramic views throughout the day were unforgettable. Morad was an exceptional tour guide. He shared so much fascinating history, made us feel completely taken care of, and truly treated us like family. He was incredibly attentive to our dietary restrictions and made sure the winery staff was aware. He was also an extremely safe driver, and the private transportation for our family of five was spacious and very comfortable. The wine tasting and lunch were both delicious, and the winery staff was highly knowledgeable and created such an inviting atmosphere. The entire experience felt personalized, relaxed, and special from beginning to end. This tour is an absolute must-do if you’re visiting Italy. We will be talking about this day for years to come!
Absolutely wonderful day exploring Tuscany! Lunch at the winery was one of the best meals we had on our trip to Italy. The visit to the olive grove and olive oil tasting was the highlight of the day. Morad was an excellent guide. We learned so much about Tuscany, GOOD olive oil, regional dishes, and brunello wine. Visiting the quaint town of Montepulciano was a perfect end to the perfect day in Tuscany.

You spent good 4-5 hours on the road. Trip was wonderful. Wine and food were great. I would consider departing at different cities to visit this wine region next time .
