We had a great time with Calum in Orkney, nothing was a problem for him, pick up straight when you come down from the ship (in our case), very well knowledged about the islands and the inns and outs, you could feel it in every single story.If you go to the beautifull, magical, full off history and amazing landscapes that orkney islands are and you are in Kirkwall: only one person to guide you around: the always smiling Calum. Calum was an excellent guide. He communicated with us prior to the tour to confirm an expeditious location for pickup and drop off. As an island local he had tremendous knowledge of the area, took us to all of the sites, accompanied us to each and every one explaining everything in exquisite detail . He's a fine tour guide and we could not have asked for anything more than he provided!
We had an amazing day with Calum! He was an outstanding guide who took us on a fascinating journey back 5,000 years. We visited the main Neolithic sites in Orkney and learned so much about their incredible history. We also enjoyed a visit to a local brewery together, which made the experience even more special. Calum was an excellent guide and knew not only the history but all of the locations and most of the people at the various sites. He was extremely flexible, we got to see ALOT in the time allotted before we needed to be back on the ship. We enjoyed the tour as well as his company. I recommend him for any tours in the area and will use him again
Calum was great. He introduced us to Orkney with info and knowledge. With him we saw st Magnus cathedral, Unstan tomb, the Orkney brewery, maeshowe, skara brae, stones of Brodgar. Whilst with him we picked his brain regarding our next few days on our own in Orkney and as a result were able to confidently see the whole island plus. Excellent tour guide
Thank you so much to Calum, our very kind and skilled native guide, for today’s tour around Orkney mainland! We saw all the famous sights and more, it was stunning. Most of all we loved the cliffs, the Ring of Brodghar and Skara Brae. Calum is a lovely person, we had so much fun exploring the island together. He has impressive knowledge and guided us through the ancient sites like a history professor. You can ask him anything! Calum is a great representative of his city and country. He is very informative and passionate. He is organized and considerate of your time constraints taking into account any weather or scheduling issues. I highly recommend choosing him as your tour guide.
