What you'll do
All Gone Surfing Hawaii lessons begin on the sand in Waikīkī, where our instructors introduce ocean awareness, wave conditions, and essential surf safety before heading into the water. From there, your group gets right into the surf to experience Waikīkī’s gentle, beginner-friendly waves. Our private group and family surf lessons are perfect for families, friends, and small groups who want a shared experience with dedicated instruction. Each group is matched with the appropriate number of licensed instructors, ensuring personalized coaching, hands-on assistance, and plenty of individual attention. All instructors are trained in first aid and lifeguard-level CPR, so safety is always a priority. Great experience! Both my husband and I were standing up and riding waves by the end of the lesson, our instructor was very knowledgeable and helped us to feel comfortable and confident on the boards! We also saw some sea turtles while paddling out which was cool. Fun and unique experience, would definitely do again!
Super nice instructor and he was very informative. Loved the whole experience. Honestly wasn’t as hard as I thought, or maybe the instructor was just great:)
The weather was completely against us. They tried multiple times to accommodate us. They went well out of their way to try to get us out there learning how to surf. But the fact that they were so communicative and put safety as a priority speaks volumes. We might not have had a lesson with them, but we will happily promote their company.
It was so fun. Mick, our instructor, was kind and encouraging. Our whole party was able to stand at least once with Mick’s guidance. 10/10 would recommend.
Great lessons - teenage sons loved it and would do again - they were really pleased that they stood up and surfed and appreciated the guidance they got
We couldn't go out due to the tide being too high to produce waves. I wanted to leave a review because the instructor was honest and upfront about the conditions. We got a refund because we couldn't go another time.
We stayed at the Outrigger Reef Resort so the meeting point (at the resort beach) was easy. We had a private and semi private lesson with Josh & Lindsay. They were great, did all the paddling work, and made it super easy to catch a wave. Me and kids (9 & 12) learned some basics on shore and went straight out. The waves were tiny and perfect for learning. This also made it very easy for the kids to feel comfortable. The boards were huge (I think 12 ft long) so even though the waves were tiny, we were all up and surfing in no time. We had a great time and this ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you.
