Démarrons notre balade par la place Fernand Lafargue, c’est sur cette place que se tenait au XIIe siècle le grand marché de Bordeaux. Le décor est planté…Les épices et Bordeaux…une histoire bien ancrée. Comme par magie, voyageons des toits de Bordeaux au Congo et à l'Ile de la Réunion avec Ludovic, passionné d'épices. Partons pour une parenthèse olfactive qui met en appétit.

Puis une boulangerie saura, par le souvenir, transmuter l’éphémère en immortel. Nichée au cœur du quartier St Michel soyons, pour un instant un trait d’union entre cette boulangerie bio, sans gluten et sa galerie d’art. Un concept gourmand.

Place St Michel Bordeaux
En empruntant rues et ruelles du vieux Bordeaux, direction l’épicerie Tista, qui veut dire "panier" en béarnais. Ici on n’aime pas les aliments qui voyagent plus que nous. Dégustons du local très gourmand et très respectueux. Nous approchons doucement de l’heure de « l’apéro », alors trinquons mais cassons les codes…

Marche des Capucins
Emerveillons-nous devant la magnifique Basilique Saint Michel de style gothique flamboyant, elle nous indiquera le chemin vers « Le ventre de Bordeaux… ». Le marché des Capucins, le plus ancien de Bordeaux. L’entre de la gastronomie Bordelaise nous ouvre ses portes pour un moment, un instant à savourer avec un passionné de vin et de bonnes choses.

Exciting and very gourmet visit. We were a group of 10 gourmets. Have discovered craftsmen and traders as well as some corners of Bordeaux. Our guide Caroline guided us on our epicurean quest. Very nice, attentive. Thank you to her and to all the traders who welcomed us and took their time to present us their production. Great ride to do again absolutely! We strongly advise.

When the tireless, passionate & generous Sylvie concocts a gourmet ride by calling it "The Epicurious" we can be sure that all our senses will be surprised, that the Mood will be there where we will spend a delicious time. I knew it, I knew it, but I admit she's bluffed me again. A mix between rediscovery of Bordeaux, enriching meetings with passionate artisans who make us taste real, delicate, tasty products, ... I have A DO RE. How do you feel at the end of the epicure? The desire to take a new ride with "MIAM".
I knew the Spicebird through my friends and it is a very good discovery. Tasting local products mixed with Bordeaux’s history and heritage is a concept that I enjoyed enormously. I was happy to discover good regional products and to have the opportunity to taste them. I had a great time with Sylvie, friendly and attentive. This is a great experience that I recommend 100%.
I was at the premiere of the Epicurious, of MIAM Bordeaux!. An excellent moment that Sylvie Berteaux shared with us with her gourmet walk, mixed with Bordeaux history evoked by our guide, Caroline Galas and tastings, particularly chosen!. Salty, sweet, there is something for everyone, enough to delight our taste buds and satisfy our hunger: honey, canned meats, breads, cold cuts, oysters, cheeses, Love wells, beers, wines,... 😋 Beautiful discoveries through the passion of the hosts who welcomed us, especially since all these products are local or produced very close to our city!. Whether it is a gift to offer or just a (re)discovery of our beautiful city of Bordeaux, I recommend with your eyes closed!
I took part in this walk one Saturday morning with a friend, we shared a great time with a very nice small group. I was able to discover several districts of the old town and the stops are varied with high quality products. Special mention for the small grocery store on rue Saint James (a crazy discovery!!) and for the products discovered at the Capuchin market. This is a great experience if you want to discover Bordeaux differently. Thanks to Lucie, a passionate and smiling guide who made us have a great time! I will return with great pleasure!!
We took part in a walk one Saturday morning in the company of Breton friends to introduce them to the nice corners of Bordeaux and the Capuchin market. In the end we were a small group from different backgrounds ( French / English ) and all liked it from the first stop. The tastings were varied , our friends were delighted but not as much as us who discovered a superb spice shop 2 steps from us! Our guide Lucie was great and cared for throughout the ride. We will probably try out the evening walks in the spring!
