The Vatican has recognized this small house in the Solmissos Mountains as the final resting place of the Virgin Mary. A small shrine dedicated to St. Mary was found when the ruins of the house were first discovered.

Ephesus Ancient City
Enter the through the Magnesia Gate and begin a slow, downhill walk with your guide into the ruins of this Roman provincial capital. Your route takes you past the Odeon, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan and the Grand Theater. The Theater had seating for 25,000, was the site where St. Paul preached to the Ephesians, and is used today for a local spring festival.

Our tour took us to many sites, there was never a boring day, our guide (Hakan) gave us great information as we visited each place and it wasn't like a regular tour. He was very humorous, charming, and was kind enough to show directions to people who weren't in our group but needed help. His kindness and professionalism, yet friendly manner made our trip special as well as very fulfilling. Meander Travels was very helpful and accommodating, I would definitely book with them again!
We opted to visit Samos on a day trip from Kusadasi. This is a good trip if you consider the following:- 1. Be prepared to queue at customs. Departure from Kusadasi is well organised (you will need to queue), arrival at Samos is definitely not. Having a UK passport was actually an advantage as the wait for EU members was awful. 2, Decide what you want to do before you travel. If you just want to walk around and laze that's fine, there are plenty of restaurants around the port area. If you want to hire a car or moped book in advance or you will queue again. 3. The return passage through Greek customs was akin to a rugby scrum. It took us an hour, others (some with young children) two. 4. Hope that customs at Kusadasi open all of their booths or you'll queue out onto the port on return..... Plus points:- cruise over is stunning, Greece is delightful Negatives - it's a lot of money to spend so many hours queuing or waiting for people who are stuck in queues before the boat can depart.
Located in the center of Kusadasi, the experience of the years and the guver and experienced service. They''re easy to transport and completely cozy. These are the pros.
