   In This One Day Trip From Barcelona ( Montserrat Tour ), We'll pick you up from your hotel or Any Address in Barcelona to commence our Montserrat Tour on a ride through the scenic landscapes of Catalonia. Heading southwest, our journey takes us through the captivating Natural Park of Montserrat, offering breathtaking vistas and your guide will provide you with a brief explanation about the area and share fascinating geographical information about this remarkable region. Make sure to also keep your camera handy for great shots of the mountain's unique rock formations with Barcelona and Catalonia in the distance.

   Montserrat Mountains

   On the second leg of our day trip from Barcelona to Montserrat, our next stop is at the cable car station in Montserrat Mountains. This cable car provides an alternative route to the Monastery, allowing you to cross the Llobregat river and ascend to an altitude of nearly 4000 feet. Dating back to 1930, this cable car operates with just two cabins, reaching a speed of 5 meters per second. During your free time, if you wish, you can experience the Cable Car ride, which offers a spectacular view of Montserrat and the Monastery Area (please note that the Cable Car ticket is not included).

   Abadia De Montserrat

   On our day trip from Barcelona to Montserrat, our third stop brings us to the Abadia de Montserrat by car. Here, a private guided walking tour awaits, immersing you in Montserrat's history and rich religious heritage. Explore the Abadia de Montserrat and its surroundings, including discussions about routes within Montserrat and other pilgrimage sites. Next, we'll visit the Royal Basilica of Montserrat, where you can view the unique Black Madonna statue from inside the basilica (no Throne visit). Continuing the tour, enjoy a captivating Choir Performance by Montserrat Boys, with guaranteed attendance for your group (fees included). To conclude your Montserrat visit, you'll have 20 minutes of leisure time at the monastery's gift shop. Lastly, your guide will introduce you to four distinctive local liquors, each with a recipe passed down from the monks. Savor these unique flavors individually during a guided tasting session (tasting fee included).

   Escolania de Montserrat

   At our fourth stop, we'll be treated to a Choir performance at the Santa Maria Basilica of Montserrat. This experience is the highlight of our day trip from Barcelona, as you'll have the opportunity to witness the renowned Boys Choir Performance, considered one of the most famous in Europe. To ensure a seamless and guaranteed spot in the Choir performance on their singing days, advance booking is included as part of this tour. This allows you to skip the lines and fully enjoy this exceptional musical performance. Please note that the Boys' Choir performs on Sundays during mass, but not on Saturdays. Additionally, there are no choir performances during summer holidays, certain afternoons, and over Christmas holidays. Attendance at the Boys' Choir performance is subject to availability on singing days. While it is highly unlikely that these experiences won't be available on your selected tour date, in rare cases of unavailability, you will receive prompt notification after booking.

   Another compelling reason why Montserrat consistently ranks among the top five day trip destinations from Barcelona is the presence of the revered statue of Our Lady of Montserrat, also known as the Black Madonna. This iconic statue serves as the centerpiece around which the entire Montserrat Monastery was built. The Black Madonna is renowned worldwide and is believed to have been originally carved in Jerusalem during the first century. During this tour, you'll have the unique opportunity to view the statue from inside the basilica, providing a close and meaningful perspective. Please note that the tour does not include access to the Throne of the statue, but you'll have a significant sight of it from within the church.

1- Pick-up and Drop-off: we will pick you up from any address in Barcelona, including Hotels, Apartments, Cruise Ports, or the Airport. Please provide your hotel name or accommodation address during booking. If your address or hotel is not listed, you can type it down in the field. 2- Luggage Note: Please note that we cannot accommodate any luggage during the tour. 3- A day before your tour date, your guide will send a text message to your phone (and email), including your exact pick-up time and all additional trip information.

Please note that there are no choir performances during the summer holidays, certain afternoons, and over the Christmas holidays.
• Travel in Comfort: Our tour uses a Private Mercedes Van with spacious seating and ample legroom.
• Please note that attending the Boys' Choir performance is subject to availability. We strive to provide these experiences for all our guests and It is highly unlikely that these experiences will not be available on your selected tour date. In the rare instance that such unavailability occurs, you will promptly receive a notification after your booking.
• Please note: If you are interested in attending the Black Madonna’s throne for personal prayer time, please send us a message; we will endeavor to arrange your attendance (subject to availability, additional fees, and tour pickup time changes).
