Our signature tasting; a fun introduction to the secrets of Greek wine. We start by familiarising ourselves with the basic principles of tasting wine. The unique characteristics of each of the main wine regions are discussed to help you to understand how local terroir contributes to the particular flavor of each wine tasted. As we do this, we sample five of Greece’s flagship wines, each from a different region, three white and two red. While discussing the many possible food pairings, we offer local artisanal cheeses to enhance our experience of the wine.

We loved this evening with Marika; she was able to share her passion for Greek wines with us. We also really enjoyed our conversations about the different regions of Greece. The tasting was accompanied by a beautiful cheese platter.
We had a wonderful evening with somellier Marika, in her gorgeous home overlooking the Acropolis. She provided some meze while we tasted some Greek wines from local varieties all over the country. Afterwards, we were invited out onto her terrace, looking out at the beautiful lights of the Acropolis. It was a perfect evening, creating wonderful memories.
Marika offers a fantastic wine tasting experience in an unbeatable location. As a sommelier with extensive knowledge of Greek wine, she was an amazing host. We had an opportunity to taste and learn about five different types of wine, both red and white. The tastings were plentiful, and the cheese, fruit and nuts chosen to accompanying them were thoughtfully selected and delicious. We ended the evening talking and drinking more wine on Marika's balcony, overlooking the Acropolis. I've done many wine tastings in my travels, and Marika's Noble Greeks experience was one of the best. I recommend it to anyone who's traveling through Athens and enjoys wine.
Marika is an amazing host with a gift for sharing her deep knowledge about Greek wine. We tasted and discussed five distinct and delicious varieties, ending our evening in conversation on Marika’s balcony overlooking the Acropolis. I look forward to another Noble Greeks experience with friends!
What a great evening, the perfect combination of learning, savouring and enjoying ourselves! An excellent selection of Greek wine varietals expertly explained by our host sommelier Marica, and paired with delicious local cheeses and fruits. We learned a lot and met some great people at what was a truly social event, most of us stayed on well past the official close of the tasting itself and enjoyed another glass of wine on the terrace looking up to the Acropolis. It also made a wonderful start to our whole evening before going on to an Athens style late dinner nearby in Koukaki :)
We enjoyed a wine tasting with our host who was very knowledgeable about Greek wines. We learned about different regions of Greece and how the grapes are grown, their growing conditions and uniqueness of characteristics. It was an informative evening at a great location with a beautiful balcony viewing the acropolis at night.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Noble Greeks Winetasting! We’re intermediate and enthusiastic wine lovers, who’ve taken winery tours in the U.S. — in Napa, Sonoma, the CA Sierra foothills, and many places around VA (our home state), but we didn’t know what to expect this time around. We were truly delighted! Mareka is a knowledgeable and entertaining sommelier, who introduced us to the major varietals of Greece. We learned about their gastronomic significance, the regions of Greece where these varietals grow, and a bit about the history of winemaking in this beautiful country. All this in a gorgeous location! The view of The Temple of Nike on the Acropolis was worth the experience alone. We also really enjoyed the company of the other couple we met that evening. A truly worthwhile evening and experience!
Absolutely lovely evening. Marika was a lovely host and extremely knowledgeable about wine. We learned a lot about Greece s wine regions and the lesser known varieties. I would highly recommend
