Okinawa East Coast 3-hour Marine Experience: Kayak or SUP

It was a wonderful SUP experience! The price is very reasonable and we had a unforgettable time with Hiro! He is so professional and thoughtful! He prepared all the equipment we need. The equipment is new and in good condition! He also taught us the simple by important safety measure. Very suitable for beginner! Sea water was crystal clear and secret beach is tranquil! It was also very interesting to paddle between the different-shape rocks. Hiro can also speak fluent english, which is very helpful for tourist! He is also very talkative and willing to share about Japanese culture and stories from the ! So grateful to have Hiro to be our guide!

This was my very first SUP experience, and it was absolutely amazing! The tour takes place around Hamahiga Island, a small, peaceful island connected to mainland Okinawa by bridge. Surrounded by crystal-clear water, it’s the perfect setting for paddleboarding. I joined the tour in April, and the weather was already warm enough to comfortably enjoy the ocean. I was honestly surprised how pleasant the sea felt even in spring! The tour operator provided all the necessary equipment, so we basically just brought our swimsuits and towels—super convenient! We rented a car and drove just a little over an hour from central Naha. The drive was scenic, and crossing the bridge to the island offered stunning views. At the beginning of the tour, the friendly guide gave a clear and easy-to-follow lesson, which made us feel comfortable even as total beginners. Once we got out on the water, the feeling of paddling through the ocean with the breeze on our faces was simply refreshing and fun! We paddled along the island, learning interesting facts about local nature and history along the way. At the end of the tour, we reached a secluded beach that felt like our own private paradise—calm, peaceful, and truly breathtaking. Another highlight: the guide took lots of photos during the tour and shared the data with us afterward, making it easy to look back on the experience. He was also incredibly cheerful and welcoming—as bright and warm as the Okinawan sun! Paddleboarding was more physically engaging than I expected, but I felt great afterwards—refreshed in both body and mind. If you're looking for a special, nature-filled activity in Okinawa, this SUP tour is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!
