All producer of Armagnac take themselves seriously, and rightly so. Yet if you want to explore a little more, try the Fine Blanche at Château Arton in Haute Armagnac for something different. They charge for the tour but I’d be surprised if you will be disappointed. I was looked after well by my guide and sampled so genuine treasures. Thank you.
A wonderful place to visit. We enjoyed a fascinating and insightful guided tour that included tasting the superb wines and armagnac. The tasting was accompanied with delicious nibbles from local producers and was provided in the delightful private garden with views over the beautiful vineyard and rolling Gers hills. Just perfect.
We had a very good time. The place is magnificent and the simple tour was very interesting; the way of respecting living things and working in harmony with them is comforting in current times. Not to mention the tour of the wine cellars and the explanation of the differences between cognac and armagnac. I recommend it.
Exciting visit of the Domaine d’Arton with Didier, who introduced us to the vineyards in biodynamics and a unique acoustic system, before guiding us in the cellar and the universe of Armagnac. Fine tasting animated by Anna. An authentic and memorable moment!
