Foki Beach is a small, picturesque pebbly cove near Fiskardo, renowned for its crystal-clear waters, calm atmosphere, and dense olive and pine trees providing natural shade. It is highly popular for family swimming and exploring nearby sea caves, often featuring anchored boats.
Fiskardo is the only village which was left untouched by the 1953 earthquake and where the original Venetian style buildings are still visible. This has now become popular with the rich and famous and the harbour is lined with luxury yachts in amongst the traditional fishing boats.
After leaving Fiskardo we will have a leisurely drive back down the coast, stopping for a photo opportunity above the stunning Myrtos Beach.

Assos
Travelling in a private minivan up the western coast, our first stop of the day will be at the secluded village of Assos. Assos is lined by pretty coloured houses, a small shady square and the remains of the 15th century Venetian castle up on the hill above the village making it a popular choice for visitors. There is also a small pebbly beach offering clear waters and stunning views across the bay. A 45 minute stop will allow time for a coffee and to explore the village.

Foki Beach
Foki Beach (or Phoki) is a small, picturesque pebbly cove near Fiskardo in northern Kefalonia, renowned for its crystal-clear, deep green waters, calm atmosphere, and dense olive and pine trees providing natural shade. It is highly popular for family swimming, snorkeling, and exploring nearby sea caves, often featuring anchored boats.

Fiscardo
Fiskardo is the only village which was left untouched by the 1953 earthquake and where the original Venetian style buildings are still visible. This has now become popular with the rich and famous and the harbour is lined with luxury yachts in amongst the traditional fishing boats. We will spend 2 hours here in order to browse the narrow streets and the local shops or enjoy lunch (not included) in one of the waterfront tavernas.

Myrtos Beach
After leaving Fiskardo we will have a leisurely drive back down the coast, stopping for a photo opportunity above the stunning Myrtos Beach. Myrtos has been described as "one of the most dramatic beaches in Greece", with its "mile-and-a-half long arc of dazzling white pebbles.] It was used as the location for the mine explosion episode in the film Captain Corelli's Mandolin

Excellent guide. Good English. Excellent knowledge of area and the whole of Kefalonia and even further. Gave interesting history of island. Allowed suitable time at interesting locations.

Our guide Chris was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He made the entire experience one that will remain in our memories for a very long time. As a group of four adults, we chose to take a private tour so that we could have more autonomy with where and how long we’d like to stay. We soaked up this tour like a good glass of Robola wine, intoxicating. Chris was our driver and guide. The transport was very comfortable and Chris is a very experienced and capable driver, being very personable and also, he is a gold mine of information and knowledge which he shared with us, it enriched our experience greatly. He brought an extra element to the tour with his own personal touch, bringing very special surprises which made for a great and memorable tour. We feel we have made a new and very special friend. This is a great and exciting tour to take, with fabulous places to see, filled with history and myths, it’s absorbing.
We were picked up directly outside our hotel by Chris. This is a totally private tour, just you and your guide, in an air-conditioned and comfy minivan. Chris' knowledge of Kefalonian and Greek history is absolutely brilliant, and I also have to comment on his safe and patient driving. Chris made us feel instantly at ease, explained the intended course of the day, and made it clear that there is a degree of flexibility allowed, so if there is part of the tour that maybe doesn't particularly interest you, you might decide to spend that time elsewhere. However, all of the main points of the trip are great to experience, so I would certainly recommend sticking with the main points of Assos and Fiskardo. Chris went out of his way to make the day very special, and it is a day we will not forget. We have some amazing pictures to look back on, helped by the fact that Chris knows the best locations from where to take those photos. We were given a great deal of information about Kefalonia, the Kefalonians themselves, Greek history, mythology, facts, and areas where both mythology and facts come quite close. We had a great time, and the tour surpassed our expectations by far. On paper it may not sound as exciting as a boat trip to see secret inaccessible beaches etc. but, as someone who would usually tend to gravitate more towards the 'boat trip' option, I was totally surprised by how much I enjoyed the day. There was not a moment that I did not enjoy, whether that be taking in the sights, or learning about Kefalonia, the people, the earthquake, neighbouring islands, and Greece itself. When we visit Kefalonia again, we will certainly be thinking about a similar tour of the south of the island.
A fantastic full day trip. Chris, our driver and guide, was very knowledgeable and super helpful and friendly. He provided local sweets and food which was not part of the booking. He also took us to places that were out of the way and not on the agenda. One of the best trips we have taken and could not recommend more.
We booked this tour via Jet2holidays ahead of our holiday to lassi kefalonia. We weren't sure if other people would be on this tour with us or what to expect, we just wanted to see more of the island as in previous years we have just remained at our base in lassi. We were collected by our guide Chris from our hotel, I was relieved to see that the tour was just myself and my husband and our guide made us feel at ease from the start so it just felt like we were out for the day with a friend. Chris asked what we were expecting from our tour and he tailored it around our wishes. Chris was very Friendly and has such a knowledge of the island and it's history, infact if I'm honest I couldn't absorb everything he was telling us as I was in awe of the beautiful island scenery. Chris took us to all the great photo view points and allowed time for capturing some photos and to take in the beautiful views ,we stopped at the beautiful village of Assos where Chris surprised us with a beautiful picnic we also had a little wander and look in some gift shops here. We then went on to fiskardo where we had another look around and a coffee. Our next stop was melissani cave ,this was not included in the price of our tour so an extra charge but a beautiful experience too. Then we took the road home to lassi ,all along the way Chris asked if we were okay and gave so much information about the island and showed us so much that we would never have seen if we had been taking the route by ourselves. I would highly recommend this tour if you want to see more of the island but perhaps don't want to drive and hopefully you will be lucky enough to have Chris as your guide. This was truly a special day for us 💙
Fabulous. Andy and Melanie could not have been better hosts and guides. The tour was fully personalised around our wishes with extras we hadn’t considered. Expert recommendations of superb restaurants and tavernas providing excellent food with value for money, even in Fiscardo where prices are normally high. Thoroughly recommend this tour.
