I had an amazing time on the Kawasaki Night Factory Lights i tour with Takeshi. He took a lot of time to show me the most beautiful and interesting photo spots, and I never felt rushed. Thanks to him, I was able to capture some truly unique views that I would never have found on my own. What made this tour even more special was how much background information he shared. He explained the industrial area, answered all my questions about Japan and everyday life, and gave me many fascinating insights into the country and its culture. It felt much more like spending an evening with a knowledgeable local than taking a standard tour. The Kawasaki factory district has supported Japan’s industrial growth for more than a century. After sunset, the factories came alive — their lights, sounds, and even their faint scents pulsing like a living sci‑fi organism. It was an unforgettable sight. Without his deep knowledge and precise navigation, it would have been impossible to experience this extraordinary world. We started off quietly at Resonac's "White Castle," then moved on to a really impressive plant of Nippon Shokubai that reminded me of one I had seen in a calendar, and finished with the huge ENEOS plant. As a plant engineer, I really enjoyed every part of it from a professional point of view. I was also really interested in the innovative facilities Takeshi showed us, like the plant that recovers hydrogen and carbon dioxide from waste plastics for use at nearby hotels and industrial plants, and the biomass power plant that generates electricity from wood chips. It honestly felt like being an elementary school student on a fun field trip. A lot of what he explained connected with things I already knew, and those moments were especially exciting for me. Thanks again for such an inspiring and memorable tour.

Even though I knew factory night views had a mysterious charm, it was hard to figure out where to go on my own.
