We started off quietly at Resonac's "White Castle," then moved on to a really impressive plant of Nippon Shokubai that reminded me of one I had seen in a calendar, and finished with the huge ENEOS plant. As a plant engineer, I really enjoyed every part of it from a professional point of view. I was also really interested in the innovative facilities Takeshi showed us, like the plant that recovers hydrogen and carbon dioxide from waste plastics for use at nearby hotels and industrial plants, and the biomass power plant that generates electricity from wood chips. It honestly felt like being an elementary school student on a fun field trip. A lot of what he explained connected with things I already knew, and those moments were especially exciting for me. Thanks again for such an inspiring and memorable tour.

Even though I knew factory night views had a mysterious charm, it was hard to figure out where to go on my own.
