We had the most amazing tour with Jon whose knowledge of events of WW1 within this area was incredible. His passion for history infectious and explanations of events easy to understand. Our tour encompassed all the major sites and then a few unexpected ones including a visit to a privately owned aircraft museum. My husband who is ex RAAF throughly enjoyed this stop. If you want a detailed explanation of WW1 on the Somme, then this tour is a must. Our guide John has a lot of knowledge of the war and he researches family members and shares the details with you, if you want them.
A very informative tour with a very knowledgeable guide which covered many sites and points of interest in an unhurried manner
Whilst we were interested in Australian focus we asked for & were provided with balanced perspective of all nations involved, including Germany. Tour educated on the scope of the engagement & we were shocked by how many lives were lost in fighting over such a small region of farmland. Monash Centre a must see.
