We had an amazing time. Allison was extremely knowledgeable she took the time and I research my great, great Uncles journey and showed us some meaningful sites. It was a highlight of a our France trip
We had the most amazing tour with Jon whose knowledge of events of WW1 within this area was incredible. His passion for history infectious and explanations of events easy to understand. Our tour encompassed all the major sites and then a few unexpected ones including a visit to a privately owned aircraft museum. My husband who is ex RAAF throughly enjoyed this stop. Thankyou Jon we would not hesitate to recommend you. Our day was more than we could have hoped for.
Wow! We were treated to a masterclass in WWI history today, delivered by the incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable Alison. Our tour was thoughtfully tailored to our interests, focusing on Australia’s involvement and battles during the WW1. Alison provided balanced insights and engaging discussions that considered all perspectives, making the experience both informative and deeply thought-provoking. The entire day was personalised to our wishes, and nothing felt rushed or generic. We would highly recommend Alison to anyone seeking an unforgettable and meaningful experience exploring the Western Front battlefields. Amazing experience — thank you again, Alison! ⸻
Our guide, Alison, could not have been better. She was prompt, knowledgeable and accommodating to any of our requests. Highly recommended!
If you want a detailed explanation of WW1 on the Somme, then this tour is a must. Our guide John has a lot of knowledge of the war and he researches family members and shares the details with you, if you want them.
A very informative tour with a very knowledgeable guide which covered many sites and points of interest in an unhurried manner
Whilst we were interested in Australian focus we asked for & were provided with balanced perspective of all nations involved, including Germany. Tour educated on the scope of the engagement & we were shocked by how many lives were lost in fighting over such a small region of farmland. Monash Centre a must see. Thank you Alison for your insights & factual analysis.
We had an interesting and thought provoking tour around the battlefields and memorials near Albert. John was a superb guide. He has a vast knowledge of the area and we really enjoyed his company during the day. The blue skies and clear views made it even better. We learned a lot about the war and highly recommend this tour to anyone with interests in the contributions of the AIF.
