Privately Guided Half Day Hike

We had a great time with our guide Bev McDowell! She knows “the good spots”! Great trails, fabulous scenery, and a spectacular waterfall where we were the only people there! Bev also points out many wildflowers and mushrooms. And she brought along drinks and snacks for us. She’s also a great photographer, sending us lots of pics of our smiling group. Thanks, Bev!

Anna Conard was a phenomal tour guide. She contacted us prior to the hike to ask about special requests and fitness levels. Anna was flexible and patient when we were running a bit late, she tailored the hike to our preferences and provided a wealth of knowledge regarding the history of the trail, it’s landscape and flora. Her engaging personality and knowledge of the Asheville area was extremely impressive and appreciated, we would highly recommend Anna as a guide!

I had a wonderful half-day birthday hike with Bev! I occasionally have knee issues, so we took it pretty easy and went up a fire tower (this was really cool and also very windy, but we did it!) and also visited a couple of waterfalls. Bev was very prepared and had extra warm clothes, hiking poles, all the snacks I could ever want, and even a birthday treat. She took lots of pictures and was great company. I loved chatting with her about books and life. BRHC handled all of the logistics well and I found it easy to organize my trip with them as a solo traveler. Hope to hike with you again Bev!

Bev was such an exceptional tour guide. My daughter and I loved our half day hike with her. She was so knowledgeable and we felt so safe and entertained with her being our guide. What a fun day - we will def come see her again for a full day during the summer/ fall.
