What a delightful way to immerse yourself in genuine Japanese traditions! This intimate cultural experience takes place in a traditional home setting, offering a perfect blend of learning and authentic engagement. Our host, Noriko, explained tea ceremony’s each movement and its significance, from the proper way to admire the tea bowl to the traditional way of whisking matcha. The traditional music demonstration was fascinating. Our host not only performed but also shared interesting historical context about the music's role in Japan. This experience is perfect for anyone interested in Japanese culture beyond the typical tourist attractions. It offers an authentic glimpse into traditional Japanese arts in a warm, personal setting.

Noriko is a great person, friendly and funny. She has a lot of knowlegde about Japanese history and loves to share that. She’s a wonderful matcha teacher; serves delicious green tea with traditional Japanese sweet, while she explains the history of tea ceremonies. On top of that she has excellent musical skills on the koto, she plays an old Japanese song and teaches us how to play ‘sakura’ on the koto. I really recommend this place! I would love to come back again.
